Where to put the powder in the Ardo washing machine?
Almost every home has a washing machine to make life easier and save time. But, despite the prevalence of automatic machines, not everyone uses them correctly: the instructions are not read, everything is learned “at random” or from the experience of neighbors. Sometimes difficulties arise even with adding detergent to the washing machine. We suggest finding out where owners of Ardo machines need to add washing powder and add conditioner. Let's consider all the options, their pros and cons.
Each compartment has its own purpose
For powder, the Ardo washing machine has a special dispenser, popularly called a powder receiver. This is a drawer, usually divided into three compartments. Each compartment is designed for a specific type of detergent or a separate program. It is easy to find out the purpose of the bunker - just look at its size or markings.
- "I". Medium-sized compartment located on the left side. It is used only when the “Pre-wash” mode is activated. Suitable for both bulk and liquid detergents.
- "II". This is the central and largest department. Detergent is taken from it during the main wash, that is, when starting any mode except the preliminary one.
- "*" or flower. The smallest cuvette, located on the right side and covered with a “grid”. Designed for liquid additional detergents - conditioner, rinse aid, fragrance, softener and bleach.
The powder receptacle on Ardo washing machines has three compartments - for different washing modes and types of detergents.
On some modern Ardo models, the detergent dispenser has more compartments or different markings than the standard ones. In this case, it is better not to guess, but to look at the factory instructions. The manual must provide a description of the tray and the purpose of all its compartments.
We pour the product into different compartments
It is better to pour the detergent into the machine according to the markings on the tray. Incorrect distribution of the powder will not harm the washing machine, but the consequences cannot be avoided - the quality of washing things will suffer. Clothes will be washed in “empty” water or rinsed in soapy water.
The fact is that the smart system of the Ardo washing machine takes detergent from the dispenser in a certain way. Powder is washed out of compartment “I” only when the pre-wash is turned on, and from the cuvette “*” - during the rinsing stage. This leads to possible problems:
- powder does not get into the drum if you pour it into compartment “I” and turn on the normal program;
- Pre-wash will take place without detergent if you run the same mode and pour the powder into compartment “II”;
- things will be rinsed in soapy water if you pour the concentrate into the cuvette “*”.
Incorrectly adding detergent to the washing machine will affect the quality of washing - things will remain dirty or too soapy.
There will be no serious damage from the confusion of the tray compartments - at most, things will remain dirty. To correct the error, you just need to restart the wash, making sure the dispenser is filled correctly, or repeat the rinse. True, you will have to “pay”: money for housing and communal services and your own time. The main thing is to notice excess powder on clothes in time so as not to spoil the fabric and avoid skin irritation.
They put things in a drum and powder on top
Manufacturers of all washing machines, including Ardo, recommend that users do not engage in amateur activities and pour powder into the machine only through the dispenser. But not everyone hears them - many deliberately refuse the tray and send the detergent directly into the drum.
They explain their choice by economy: in this situation, the concentrate enters the tank in full, while the standard version is accompanied by the settling of granules on the walls of the compartment and pipes. True, the “benefit” is questionable - it has been proven that during washing, the water is periodically renewed, and some of the soap goes down the drain.
It is unwise to refuse a powder receiver - it is better to focus on the position of the manufacturers. But if the dispenser breaks down or another similar emergency situation, you are allowed to use the “drum option”. You just need to take into account a few nuances:
- Do not pour powder onto things (aggressive cleaning components will damage fabric fibers, the material will discolor and become thinner);
- the product is added to the bottom of the empty drum;
- after adding the powder, the drum is rinsed with a glass of water (another option is to cover the granules with a napkin);
- Only after “hiding” the powder, load the drum with things.
Do not let the powder or gel come into contact with dry clothes - the fabric will deteriorate and become stained!
It is better to go the other way and, in case of force majeure, purchase a special container for washing - a plastic container with holes. It is filled with gel or powder and placed in the drum with things. Sometimes such a device is included in the Ardo package, but you can purchase it separately on the Internet or at a hardware store. The dispenser costs between 30-200 rubles.
For connoisseurs of modern detergents
The modern chemical industry offers a safe and economical alternative to a powder dispenser - washing capsules and tablets. They are placed in the drum with laundry, consumed in doses and have an enhanced effect due to the supplemented composition. Detergents differ in form and manufacturing method:
- capsules are a gel sealed in a soluble shell;
- tablets are compressed powder.
Washing wipes are also gaining popularity - shreds consisting of special components and dissolving during washing. All of the options listed have a similar composition and operating principle and are not cheap. But if you have the opportunity to buy them, you can forget about the powder receptacle.
