How to turn on the Kandy washing machine?
To properly turn on the Candy washing machine, it is not enough just to press the “Start” button. It is necessary to correctly sort things, select the appropriate mode, add detergent to the powder receptacle, load the drum and only then activate the program. Each stage mentioned has its own nuances and requirements, knowing which you can ensure safe cleaning and achieve ideal stain removal. We will tell you in detail in what sequence to act.
Adding detergent
How well things wash when washed mainly depends on the detergent. It should be a high-quality powder or gel marked “for the machine.” But that’s not all – it’s important to pour the concentrate correctly or pour it into the washing machine.
All Candy washing machines are equipped with special dispensers, often called powder receivers. These bins are located on the top left and are used to dispense detergent during the washing process. Depending on the model, the machine has from 2 to 4 compartments, each of which is designed for a separate type of concentrate or cycle stage. Therefore, it is important to first understand the types of cuvettes.
So, the Aquamatic model has only two compartments:
- powder must be poured into the left compartment;
- in the right bunker - liquid concentrates.
The cuvettes must not be mixed up, otherwise the product will be dosed incorrectly. If the powder is poorly washed out of the dispensary, it is recommended to use a special container, which is filled with concentrate and placed in the drum along with the laundry.It is not advisable to simply sprinkle or pour cleaner onto the bottom of a tank or item - it will dissolve unevenly, and in the worst case, it will damage the fabric, discoloring or ruining its structure.
You cannot add gel or powder to the drum without a special container - an aggressive concentrate can ruin things!
Modern Candy models like Activa Smart are equipped with improved powder receptacles with more compartments:
- for pre-wash;
- for basic modes (for pouring liquids, a special tray is used, which comes with the machine);
- for bleaching agents;
- for liquid additional products (softeners, conditioners, flavors).
To ensure that the detergent enters the drum on time and in the required quantity, the powder receptacle must be washed regularly. Without proper care, the bin will become clogged, clogged, moldy and cause an unpleasant odor. It’s easy to avoid problems: just remove the dispenser from the case, soak it in soda or lemon solution and return it to its place.
But it is always better to take care of the condition of the container. Thus, it is recommended that after each wash, leave the powder receptacle open to dry and clean off undissolved detergent residues.
Finding a suitable program
The set of washing programs for most washing machines is approximately the same. The only difference is that budget equipment has only a basic set of modes, while expensive washing machines will delight the owner with additional options and functions. All information about the power and capabilities of the machine with decoding and description must be provided in the factory instructions.
You can understand the modes without instructions - the control panel has icons and names that help you intuitively determine the buttons. The desired program is activated by turning the selector, after which the LED lights up, and the washing parameters light up on the display. Some machines offer additional adjustments to the heating temperature or spin intensity.
To start washing on Candy, you need to load the laundry into the drum, add detergent and activate the program.
As a rule, the mode is determined depending on the type of fabric of the clothes being washed:
- durable fabrics (cotton, linen) - they require intensive washing, high temperatures, copious rinsing and high-speed spinning;
- mixed fabrics (synthetics, mixtures) - short cycle, temperature up to 40 degrees, medium spin intensity;
- delicate materials (silk, wool) - gentle wash, plenty of rinsing, heating up to 30 degrees, minimal spin.
The latest machines, for example, Candy Activa Smart, will delight the user with additional functions. So, by pressing the “Super Speed” key, you can significantly reduce the cycle duration. There is a “Hand Wash” mode, in which washing is carried out as gently as possible and in a large amount of water. The “Eco-friendly” program is considered universal, as it gently cleans any type of fabric. The purpose of other top options, “Ultra-fast”, “Special rinse” or “Intensive spin”, can be guessed by their names. It is worth mentioning that the smart system is able to control the volume of water and the degree of rotation of the drum independently, analyzing the weight of the laundry and adapting to the data received.
If you select a program by mistake, it is not necessary to wait until the end of the cycle. Just press “Start” again, move the selector to the “Off” position, wait until the settings are reset and start the wash again.
Sorting and storing things
Affects the quality of washing and sorting of laundry. Before loading into the drum, all dirty items must be carefully sorted by color and type of fabric.. This makes it easier to cycle without ruining your clothes.
It is also important to load the machine correctly. If the capacity of the machine is 5 kg, this does not mean that the same amount of laundry needs to be loaded with each wash. This value is only true for dry cotton items, while synthetics and wool weigh more, respectively, and the maximum is different. Modern machines are capable of automatically weighing clothes in the drum and signaling when they are overweight. In other cases, you need to navigate “by eye”.
It is recommended to leave about 1/3 of the drum empty, or about half for delicate fabrics. This way, the laundry will be rinsed well and will not look wrinkled.
During the sorting process you also need to:
- carefully read all labels, check the temperature and spin intensity recommended by the manufacturer;
- check pockets, remove garbage and foreign objects;
- cordon off all removable parts, decor, edges;
- sew up all holes, fasten “loose” buttons;
- turn things inside out;
- fasten all zippers and buttons;
- remove difficult stains.
It is not advisable to put things in a crumpled form into the drum. Firstly, it makes stains easier to remove. Secondly, twisted clothing, especially heavy ones, often leads to imbalance. Small underwear, bras, panties, blouses are placed in special protective bags.Down jackets and jackets are washed with special silicone balls that prevent the insulation from clumping.
Modern models like Candy ActivaSmart have a laundry reloading function. Just hold down the “Start” button, wait for the door to unlock, open the drum and add your forgotten items. In the same way, you can remove excess clothing or a passport or keys that accidentally got into the tank. Then we activate the program again, which will continue from the moment it stopped. It is logical that it is better to use the option from the very beginning.
Activate the program
When you first launch the newly purchased Candy, you will have to try harder. First, it is necessary to dismantle the transportation bolts and other protective elements, stickers, foam plastic and tape. Secondly, level the machine body by adjusting the legs to the building level. Thirdly, check whether the hoses and power cord are connected properly. Be sure to read the safety instructions before washing.
Before starting Candy for the first time, you need to remove the shipping bolts, level the body and “run” the machine idle.
Before the first wash, it is important to clean the machine itself from factory grease. A special program is turned on, and in its absence - the “Cotton” mode at maximum temperature and with double rinsing. The machine runs without laundry, but with detergent.
Afterwards, the prepared machine can be started in normal mode:
- load laundry;
- add detergent;
- select a program;
- look at the display, which should display the weight of the laundry, the water heating temperature and the cycle duration;
- if necessary, configure a delayed start of the cycle;
- click on “Start”.
As a rule, the machine will indicate the end of the cycle with a sound signal.However, for some time after washing, the door will remain locked for safety reasons. After 2-3 minutes the machine can be opened and things taken out.
After use, the washing machine is disconnected from the network, and the water supply tap is turned off until the next wash. Then it is recommended to carefully inspect the drum, as forgotten items could remain in it. Finally, we open the hatch and powder receptacle for drying. It is advisable to wipe the cuff dry at the same time to prevent mold from appearing. You can also go over the body with a dry cloth, brushing away dust and condensation.
