How to turn on the Midea dishwasher and start the wash

Before turning on the Midea dishwasher, it is worth studying the instructions for the device. The user manual describes in detail all the nuances of working with the equipment. Before using the dishwasher for the first time

When you buy a new dishwasher, read the instructions that came with it. Each manufacturer has its own recommendations for commissioning equipment. There are enough nuances, so do not neglect to study the user manual.

Before turning on the dishwasher for the first time, you will need to:

• find out the hardness of tap water in your region;
• adjust the PMM softener;
• fill the tank of the machine with special regenerating salt;

The first start of the machine is carried out idle, without dishes in the chamber. The test cycle is needed to clean the inside of the dishwasher from factory dirt. • turn on the dishwasher;
• press the “Start/Pause” button for 5-7 seconds to start the softener setting mode;

• Complete the setting by pressing the On/Off button.

Next you need to pour salt into the machine. This is done immediately before the first start of the dishwasher, so that spilled salt water does not remain at the bottom of the washing chamber for a long time. The algorithm will be as follows:

• open the PMM door;
• pull out the lower dish basket;
• unscrew the lid of the salt container (located at the bottom of the washing chamber);
• using a funnel (supplied with the Midea PMM), fill the tray with salt (you need to fill in about one and a half kilograms of crystals);
• Fill the reservoir with water to the top (a little liquid will flow out of the container - this is normal);
• screw the tank cap clockwise;
• Make sure the salt indicator on the control panel goes out.

The detergent dispenser is located on the dishwasher door. You need to use tablets, powders or gels designed specifically for PMM. Compositions intended for hand washing are not suitable - they foam too much and can cause the machine to break down.

Each user chooses the form of the detergent himself, based on his preferences. Tablets are more convenient to dose, but they are not suitable for short programs and are more expensive. Powders or gels dissolve quickly, so they are optimal for short cycles.

The rinse aid dispenser is also located on the dishwasher door. This composition prevents the appearance of stains on dishes and speeds up the drying of cutlery. Before starting the washer, fill the compartment up to the mark. The reservoir holds about 110 ml of liquid.

After loading all the products into the dishwasher, you can run a single test cycle. A short program that involves heating the water to 40-50 degrees is suitable for this. Observe how the machine works, whether there are any leaks or other problems. If everything goes well, you can start cleaning the dirty dishes.

Correct loading of baskets

The washing result greatly depends on how well the dishes are arranged in the baskets. The manufacturer of PMM Midea in the instructions for the equipment gives recommendations regarding the loading of cutlery. If these rules are violated, the cycle efficiency will be low.

The manufacturer provides the following recommendations in the instructions:

• kitchen utensils loaded into the appliance must be marked as dishwasher safe;
• use only high-quality, “mild” household chemicals designed specifically for PMM;
• Select the washing program and temperature conditions in accordance with the degree of soiling of the dishes and the material of their manufacture;
• for individual kitchen utensils, select the minimum possible washing temperature;
• Do not remove fragile dishes from the machine immediately after the end of the program - let the items cool and dry.

The following cannot be washed in the Midea PMM:

• products with wooden, mother-of-pearl and porcelain handles;
• dishes made of non-heat-resistant plastic;
• tin and copper appliances;
• cracked or stuck together dishes;
• steel appliances damaged by corrosion;
• kitchen utensils made of wood;
• tableware made from synthetic fibers.

The manufacturer lists items that are limitedly suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher as:

• glassware that may become tarnished;
• silver and aluminum cutlery (they fade when washed);
• products with glazed designs (images may fade).

Before loading dishes into the appliance, be sure to remove large food deposits from them.

It is advisable to first fill the burnt dishes with hot water. This will help the machine better cope with serious dirt. If your dishwasher has a “Soak” program, you don’t have to do this.

The instructions also provide recommendations for arranging kitchen utensils in baskets:

• Place deep dishes (salad bowls, mugs, glasses, pots, stewpans) with the bottom up so that the water does not stagnate inside;

• do not put cutlery that is too small in baskets - they may fall out of the trays;
• do not place devices on top of each other or on top of other objects;
• make sure that the glasses do not touch each other, otherwise they may break;
• place large dishes (serving plates, pots, pans, saucepans, lids) in the lower basket, small ones (saucers, cups, mugs) in the upper one;
• do not place knives vertically, they must be placed horizontally in the upper basket;
• Do not overload the dishwasher - this can lead to increased energy consumption, decreased cleaning quality, and equipment breakdown.

Serving plates are placed in the lower basket, with the inside facing toward the center. The larger the object, the closer to the edge it should be placed. Be sure to leave a gap between the products so that water washes them from all sides.

When the machine finishes its cycle, open the door and wait 5-10 minutes before removing the dishes. The items will cool down and dry. The lower basket is unloaded first, then the upper one.

Small kitchen utensils (ladles, spatulas, garlic presses, rolling pins) are laid out horizontally in the upper basket. Baking trays should be washed in the lower box, placing them sideways rather than upside down. Otherwise, the water circulation in the chamber will be disrupted.

Adjusting the baskets

Midea dishwashers provide the ability to adjust the top rack. This may be necessary if you need to load large dishes into the chamber. To change the position of the basket, place the wheels at different heights of the rails.

The holders provided in the lower basket can be removed. This is convenient when loading pots, saucepans, and baking sheets into the box. This will make the bottom even and the tray more spacious.

Turning on the device, starting and changing the program

• open the door, remove the lower and upper baskets;
• first place the dishes in the lower box, then in the upper one;
• load detergent into the dispenser;
• insert the power plug of the machine into the socket;
• make sure that the tap responsible for supplying water to the dishwasher is open;
• close the PMM door;
• press the power button;
• Use the program selection button to select the appropriate mode. The sequence of algorithms is as follows: “Eco”, “90 minutes”, “Express”, “Intensive”, “Eco”;
• press the Start/Pause key.

After this, the machine will begin washing. If the PMM door is opened during the program execution, the cycle will stop. The program indicator will turn off and the device will beep. The need to open the door may arise when loading forgotten dishes. After closing, the dishwasher will resume operation.

You can change the running mode, but only if the machine is running on a short program. It is also possible to forcefully stop the cycle, reload the detergent and restart the dishwasher.

To change the running algorithm, press the Start/Pause button. Then hold down the program selection key for 3 seconds. Afterwards you can change the mode to the desired one.

The Midea dishwasher will notify you of the end of operation with a sound signal. Do not immediately unload the baskets - let the dishes cool and dry. First, items are taken from the lower tray, then from the upper.
