Select the required washing mode by turning the knob responsible for selecting the mode.

First of all, this concerns salt for PMM, which helps the ion exchanger soften hard tap water. If you do not add it, stains will form on the dishes, and the ion exchanger itself may fail over time. How to load salt?

Open the washing chamber door and remove the lower basket for dishes.
Find the salt reservoir cap at the bottom and unscrew it.
If this is the first loading of the bunker, then you first need to pour about a liter of water into it.
Now, using the funnel that comes with the Candy dishwasher, add about 2 kilograms of salt. If some water spills out of the salt compartment during the process, it’s not a big deal, because all of it will be washed out during the washing process.

Be sure to use a special salt for PMM, since its crystals are purer and larger than the crystals of ordinary table salt, which means they last for a longer period, and they themselves cope better with restoring the regenerating functions of the ion exchanger.

Close the lid of the salt bin tightly to prevent the solution from spilling out during operation.

This amount of salt granules should be enough for a period of several months to a year, depending on the hardness level of the tap water and the hardness settings. To set the settings correctly, you need to know exactly the quality of tap water in your city. To do this, you can buy special test strips, or check the data on the official website of the water utility. Depending on the hardness, set the salt consumption by unscrewing the lid of the salt container and turning the arrow ring in the container to the minus sign to reduce salt consumption, or to the plus sign to increase it.

Following the salt, you should add detergent, which can be in the form of powder, gel, tablets or capsules, as well as rinse aid, which is necessary for ideal washing of dishes without streaks and stains. Typically, dispensers for household chemicals should contain no more than one tablespoon of product if it is a powder, gel or rinse aid, and no more than one piece if it is a tablet or capsule. Pots, salad bowls, glasses and other vessels should be placed upside down so that water drains from them.
