How to turn on the spin mode on an Indesit washing machine

Of course, the main purpose of any modern washing machine is washing itself, but owners do not always need to clean things. Sometimes clothes only need to be spun, skipping the washing and rinsing step. At the same time, turning on a separate spin is not always as simple as in the case of conventional work cycles. Let's figure out how to easily turn on the spin cycle on a modern Indesit washing machine.

How is spin activated?

Due to the fact that approximately 15 different lines of washing household appliances from Indesit are sold in stores today, the spin mode may differ significantly in different models. For example, in “home assistants” without a display and with three rotary knobs at once, which are responsible for adjusting the temperature, the number of drum revolutions per minute and selecting the operating mode, a separate spin can be activated as follows:

• load dirty clothes into the drum of the machine and activate it with the power key;
• move the knob responsible for heating the water to the position with the snowflake icon to select a program without heating the liquid;
• move the mode selection knob to the position with the spiral icon, which is responsible for activating the spin cycle;
• with the last knob you need to select the drum rotation speed during spinning, say 600;
• We start the working cycle using the “Start” button.

If there is no separate “Start/Stop” button on the machine, then the work will begin itself after setting all the settings.

This is how you can start the spin mode in the Indesit WISL103 machine, but these are not all the ways to do it. For example, on the Indesit W104T SM the function can be activated even more easily.

• move the mode selection knob to the position with the spiral icon to select spin;
• lock the temperature selection knob in the position with the snowflake sign so as not to heat the water;
• Now load the drum with clothes and turn on the working cycle.

On the Indesit W104T washing machine, you cannot control the number of drum revolutions during spinning, so the procedure will always be carried out at maximum speed. This can have a bad effect on delicate items that manufacturers do not recommend spinning at high speeds. If you have modern Indesit household appliances of the Innex series, then you can activate the spin mode on it by manually switching modes and using a separate key.

• Start the washing machine and load it with dirty clothes.
• Using the programmer, select the spin mode, indicated by the spiral icon with a down arrow.
• Using the "Spin" button with the spiral icon on the dashboard, select the optimal drum speed per minute.

If at this stage you select the button with the crossed out spiral icon, the washing machine will only drain the water and stop working.

• Press the cycle start button to begin spinning.

Operating an Indesit washing machine will not be difficult if you have the user manual or our instructions at hand.

All functions of the Indesit washing machine are divided into basic and additional. The first ones, they are standard, can be found on every washing machine.

• “Cotton”, intended for cleaning cotton products, characterized by the presence of preliminary soaking in hot water heated to 90 degrees, maximum load of laundry into the drum, and a duration of 171 minutes. The program is designed for washing kitchen towels, napkins and much more. There is also a no-soak intensive cotton mode that lasts 155 minutes and is best for heavily soiled whites such as tablecloths, towels, bed linen, and so on. Finally, there is a third cotton cycle, designed to wash colored clothes at just 40 degrees for 147 minutes.

The user can choose the desired water temperature if 40 degrees for washing colored clothes seems too little, and 90 degrees for towels seems too much.

• “Synthetics” is suitable for washing clothes made from synthetic materials. There are two types: one intensive in water heated to 60 degrees and lasting 85 minutes, and the second gentle, using liquid at a temperature of only 40 degrees, with a duration of 71 minutes. Most often, in this mode, it is permissible to use only half the volume of the drum, respectively, if your “home assistant” is designed for only 5 kilograms of dirty laundry at a time, then it is permissible to load only 2.5 into it, and so on.
• "Wool" was created for the gentle processing of woolen clothing, as well as cashmere products. The program heats the water to 40 degrees, washes for about 55 minutes, and is capable of cleaning approximately 1.5 kilograms of laundry at a time, which will then be carefully spun with a minimum number of drum revolutions per minute.
• “Silk” is another gentle mode suitable for washing curtains, viscose items, and underwear. The temperature is set to only 30 degrees, the cycle duration is 55 minutes, the load is up to 1.5 kilograms, the spin is turned off.

Different models of washing machines have different program names, so don’t be surprised that sometimes the modes for washing cotton can be labeled “Pre-wash”, “Everyday”, “Intensive” or “Delicate”. Often they all have different water heating temperatures, which is also worth paying attention to.

All that remains is to look at the additional functions that are not available on every device. Often these special modes can be found on modern Indesit washing machines.

• “Jeans” is a special function for washing denim items using water temperatures not hotter than 40 degrees Celsius. The mode is also distinguished by half loading and reduced speed during spinning.
• Express 15" is a quick wash to slightly refresh up to 1.5 kilograms of clothes in just 15 minutes at a temperature of 30 degrees.
• “Sports shoes” - this mode allows the SM to clean not only clothes, but also shoes, because it is designed for washing sneakers and sneakers made of suede and fabric. Water heating is only 30 degrees, duration is 50 minutes, and capacity is two pairs of shoes.
• “Sportswear” will allow you to wash dirty clothes intended for sports in 78 minutes. The load is half, the liquid temperature is only 30 degrees.

Sometimes Indesit washing machines have special modes for additional and delicate rinsing of clothes, separate spinning, and draining waste liquid without spinning.

• “Eco Time” is suitable in situations where you need to quickly wash things and also spend a minimum amount of water. The function can only be used with one of the cotton modes, as well as for cleaning synthetic items.

These are not all the programs that can be found in washing devices, but these are the main modes that are widespread in modern household appliances.
