A quick program is available in almost every washing machine, where it often takes only about 15 minutes. Sometimes “home assistants” even have a separate key that allows you to speed up almost any work cycle. This 15-minute wash in the washing machine is a useful option for quickly and efficiently treating clothes that we wear every day, such as tank tops, shirts, socks and underwear. This operating cycle is usually enough to freshen clothes, but it cannot be used for every wash. Let's look in detail at how this option works and how best to use it.

How does super fast wash work?

If a person roughly understands the operating principle of a washing machine, then a mode that can wash clothes in just 15 minutes may cause him suspicion. Often, programs require several hours to complete, because the machine spends about 5-8 minutes only on the preparatory procedures, during which it must draw liquid into the drum, rinse the detergent from the household chemicals tray, and also heat the water. In this case, the washer will already spend about half the time of the entire working cycle on preparation, and it still takes about 5 minutes to spin. And in this case, there will be approximately 5 minutes left for the washing itself, so it is completely incomprehensible to users how they can wash something in such a short time.

Moreover, if you use capsules rather than powder for quick washing, then the set aside time will simply not be enough to dissolve the product. Why is this algorithm not always acceptable?

We have analyzed the principle of operation of a quick wash, all that remains is to understand what it is not suitable for. First of all, it is worth noting towels and bed linen, because they cannot be washed at low water temperatures. To completely remove dust mites and other bacteria, clothing must be treated in water above 60 degrees Celsius.

Be sure to wash towels separately from other items, as they can absorb unpleasant odors that may form when washing towels at a temperature of 30-40 degrees Celsius.

It is worth considering that during the fast function, the machine spends virtually no time heating the water, and slightly warm water is a favorable environment for harmful microorganisms, including mold. Therefore, if you constantly wash things at low temperatures, you need to clean the machine at least once every few weeks, running a full operating cycle at 60-90 degrees, which will prevent the formation of mold and clean the device from the inside. If you ignore such cleaning, then mold and unpleasant odors may appear first in the washing chamber, and then on things.

A quick wash is considered an intensive cycle. If you wash towels on this program, it can even damage the washing machine. The fact is that terry products absorb moisture very quickly, and during a shortened cycle the washing machine does not have time to evenly distribute the towels throughout the drum. Because of this, terry items take on the shape of a kind of heavy ball and begin to seriously loosen the drum of the device.

Items made from delicate fabrics and wool should also not be washed with this function. There is a delicate mode especially for them, options for lye, wool and many other types of fabric. Before starting the program, do not forget to categorize items not only by fabric type, but also by color.

Be sure to sort dirty items from lightly soiled items before putting them in the washing machine drum. If you plan to wash very dirty items in the quick wash mode, then first soak them in a basin for half an hour with detergent or laundry soap.
