Speed Perfect mode on a Bosch washing machine
The Speed Perfect algorithm on Bosch washing machines appeared relatively recently. This addition was talked about in all the advertising videos of the German corporation. Let's figure out how useful this program is, or is it just another marketing ploy to attract buyers?
What is the essence of the Speed Perfect algorithm?
The Speed Perfect option is available on most modern Bosch CMA models. This algorithm allows you to reduce cycle time while providing unsurpassed washing results. How is this achieved?
A special sensor weighs the laundry loaded into the drum. Based on this information, it is determined how much water is required for washing. Intelligence opens the dial valve and the tank fills.
Next, the intelligent system adjusts the cycle time and the intensity of drum rotation. Additionally, when washing, accelerated heating is used, which allows the bleaching particles in the detergent to be activated more quickly.
Since this algorithm operates at a higher water heating temperature, the energy consumption per cycle increases slightly. However, the kilowatt consumption will not be much higher, since the overall cycle time is reduced.
The Speed Perfect option applies to most Bosch washing machine programs, with the exception of short algorithms.
In simple words, connecting the Speed Perfect option significantly reduces cycle time. For example, the standard “Cotton” mode lasts 120 minutes. By activating the add-on, the machine will work for only 70 minutes.
It is worth understanding that this option cannot be activated when washing delicate fabrics: wool, lace, cashmere, satin.Due to high temperature exposure and intense rotation of the drum, such products can become deformed. The algorithm is best suited for cotton, linen and other durable materials.
Special functions and their designations
The range of auxiliary functions differs on different Bosch models. Therefore, carefully read the instructions for the machine to understand what options are provided in your washing machine. With their help you can improve the quality of washing. Let's figure out what additions are found on the Bosch CMA and how they are indicated on the control panel.
- T-shirt with a stain. The “Stain Removal” function is designed specifically for heavily soiled clothes. Intensive washing helps to cope with old, difficult to remove stains. The cycle is performed in hot water at high speeds, so this program is not suitable for delicate fabrics.
- Basin with a vertical stripe. This designates the “Pre-wash” option, which is similar in purpose to soaking. Connects to the main cycle if clothing is heavily soiled. When starting the function, be sure to pour the powder into the two compartments of the dispenser.
- Iron. The “Easy ironing” option prevents wrinkles and creases from appearing on the fabric. The essence of the addition is that the drum rotates at low speed. After gentle treatment, things look less wrinkled and are easier to iron.
- Basin with water and an arrow pointing up. This indicates the “Extra rinse” option. Connects to the main cycle for better rinsing - so that no detergent remains in the fabric fibers.
Additional functions are not compatible with all Bosch SMA programs; this is described in detail in the equipment instructions.
It is worth understanding that connecting add-ons will increase the time of the main cycle.For example, the “Extra rinse” option will extend the cycle by 15-20 minutes, “Pre-wash” – by 40-50 minutes.
Tips for choosing the optimal algorithm
The choice of washing mode depends entirely on what kind of things are loaded into the drum. Therefore, first, sort your dirty clothes by type of fabric and color. Black cannot be washed with light; wool should not be mixed with cotton.
If you do not know what material the item is made of, study the symbols on its label. The composition of the fabric is indicated there, as well as the permissible temperature conditions. There are some products that cannot be washed in a machine - you will have to care for them manually.
Washing modes on the Bosch SMA control panel are indicated by symbols. The explanation of each icon is in the user manual. The instructions for the automatic machine describe each program: to what degree the water is heated, at what speed the spin is performed, how long the cycle lasts.
All Bosch SMAs have algorithms:
- “Cotton” (symbol of a dress and bodysuit with a flower);
- “Synthetics” (shirt icon on a hanger);
- “Mixed fabrics” (dress and trousers with a flower);
- “Delicate fabrics” (shirt icon with bow tie);
- “Wool” (a basin in which the hand is lowered, next to it is a skein of thread);
- “Denim things” (icon with pants);
- "Sportswear" (T-shirt symbol with number).
The desired mode is selected using the rotary switch. You can limit yourself to this, or make adjustments to the given algorithm. For example, change the temperature, spin speed or add auxiliary functions. The cycle is activated by pressing the “Start/Pause” button.
