How to remove the cover of a Zanussi washing machine?

• find the “canopy” with a rubber boot on the right side under the top cover;
• remove the cover;
• take a retaining ring remover;
• separate the sides of the latch with a puller, while simultaneously pulling the cover upward;
• repeat the procedure with the puller on the other side;
• remove the lid to the side.
