But sometimes there are situations when you need to remove the front from a Bosch dishwasher in order to replace it or the equipment itself. This is an elementary process that you can handle with your own hands without calling a specialist, if you have detailed instructions. How is the furniture façade fixed?

The decorative panel of the dishwasher is usually secured with several screws. Therefore, you should not try to tear off the facade by force, because this will not only not bear fruit, but may also damage the decorative element. What should I do to find and remove the fasteners?

To find the screws, you need to open the dishwasher door completely and examine its edges.
Most often, the decorative panel is attached to the door with six screws, but the number may be different, as it varies from model to model. If there are four screws, then they will be installed on the sides, as well as on the top and bottom; if there are eight, then you should carefully examine the entire perimeter of the door, not forgetting any of the latches.

This is due to the fact that the façade for the PMM in a classic IKEA kitchen is slightly higher. Most likely, this was done on purpose to encourage customers to buy exclusively Swedish brand appliances that are ideal for their kitchen. Therefore, even if you fix a decorative panel from IKEA on the door of a dishwasher from Bosch or any other third-party brand, the door of the machine will no longer open, since the lower part of the decorative panel will rest against the frame of the niche. Remodeling the facade from Ikea

The easiest way to adjust the facade to a Bosch dishwasher is to simply cut the panel with a jigsaw. You need to remove that small part of the front that prevents the dishwasher door from opening. If necessary, you still have to rearrange the fasteners so that the panel fits the PMM door. A part of the facade about 8 centimeters high should be cut down so that the panel fits the household appliances exactly.But besides the advantages, the method also has disadvantages.

Removing part of the decorative panel will reveal the bottom of the niche and also reveal the legs of the household appliances. Because of this, a noticeable gap will appear in the kitchen, which spoils the entire kitchen design.
The façade may become chipped if a part of it is not carefully sawed off, as a result of which it can only be thrown away.
If everything goes well, you will have to do some additional work with sandpaper to smooth out the edges.

The first disadvantage can be corrected if you carefully saw off the edge of the facade and then hang it on special hinges from IKEA. It will dangle freely, fixed to the bottom of the treated facade and hide the gap at the bottom of the niche. This way, the kitchen design will not be affected, and the Bosch dishwasher door will open unhindered.

All you need is a little free time and patience to complete the work. The remaining disadvantages are also easy to level out if you carefully cut off part of the decorative panel, and then also carefully treat it with sandpaper.
