Which washing machine is better Slavda or Renova?
Both manufacturers produce semi-automatic washing machines that are ideal for living outside the city: there is no need to connect communications, the drain can be improvised, and water can be poured from a bucket or a hose manually. However, if you have to choose: Slavda or Renova, which model should you choose? Let's look at the characteristics of both models to answer this question.
Which technique should you prefer: Slavda or Renova?
Before you start studying reviews of Slavda and Renova washing machines, it is worth considering their main characteristics and comparing them with each other. To do this, we will select units that are approximately similar in parameters and cost from both companies: Slavda WS-80PET and Renova WS-50PET, which are the most popular representatives of manufacturers on Yandex.Market.
The washing machine from Slavda is listed on Yandex.Market under the “Customers’ Choice” label. Let's start the review with it. The characteristics of the unit are presented as follows.
- Activator type of device (laundry is washed not in a drum, but in a special shaft with blades on the bottom or side).
- Vertical loading type.
- Freestanding type of installation.
- Maximum load – 8 kg of dry laundry.
- No drying program.
- Mechanical control (manually using a timer switch).
- Relatively small dimensions: 88x44x75 cm (Height-depth-width) and weight 20.7 kg.
The tank is made of white plastic. There are no safety functions (child lock and leak protection).
Important! Slavda has 2 washing programs: normal and delicate.There is also a spin option (up to 1350 rpm), a wash delay timer, and a filter for collecting lint, fluff and small debris.
Water is pumped out through a drain pump. It is possible to manually reload laundry during the washing process through the main hatch. Now let's go through the characteristics of the Renova model. The model parameters are as follows:
- activator type (the laundry is washed not in a drum, but in a special shaft with blades on the bottom or side);
- vertical loading type;
- free-standing type of installation;
- maximum load – 5 kg of dry laundry;
- lack of drying program;
- mechanical control (carried out manually using a timer switch);
- there is a possibility of connecting to hot water;
- relatively small dimensions: 79x42x69 cm (height-depth-width) and weight 15 kg.
There are no protective functions (from children and from leaks). The only additional options are spinning, which reduces the load of laundry to 4.5 kg, and the ability to reload laundry manually through the main hatch. There is a drain pump. The entire unit is made of white plastic.
If we evaluate the units purely by characteristics, then Slavda, of course, has wider functionality than Renova. Also, it fits more laundry. However, how do these units behave in practice? To answer this question, it is better to turn to reviews from real customers on Yandex.Market.
General picture of the Slavda washing machine:
- Pros: quiet in operation; compact and lightweight; affordable; washes and wrings well; erases very quickly; you can use any detergent; despite the apparent fragility, it remains operational for a long time; easy to operate.
- Disadvantages: unreliable plastic switch handle; poorly thought out water drainage system; loose drain hose; certain operating features related to the fact that the machine is a semi-automatic machine, which not everyone likes; twists the laundry tightly into a ball.
General picture of the Renova washing machine:
- Pros: quiet; compact; inexpensive; two washing modes; washes and wrings well; economical consumption of water and electricity; filter for collecting fluff and lint; loading volume; fast.
- Cons: twists laundry into a rope; does not handle foam well; short power cord; difficulties in operation (it is necessary to put laundry into the centrifuge strictly in accordance with the instructions so that the machine accelerates and spins well); does not heat water; the need to take breaks between cycles to avoid engine overheating.
In general, each of the models has certain pros and cons, but Slavda has more significant positive differences. Its market price is only $10 higher than Renova's, and there are many more positive reviews (and fewer negative ones). So if you are sure that you want a semi-automatic, but are in doubt: Slavda or Renova, it is better to stick with the first option.
Comparison by price
In the previous paragraph, a “representative” was selected from each manufacturer, and both “representatives” were compared with each other in terms of characteristics. However, the same manufacturer has many different models, and their price range is very diverse. Therefore, now we need to compare the average cost of Slavda units with the average cost of Renova units.
On the Yandex.Market website you can find the following models from Slavd.
- Slavda WS-80PET priced at $77 with a rating of 4.8.
- Slavda WS-65PE priced at $63 with a rating of 4.7.
- Slavda WS-40PET priced at $54 with a rating of 4.6
- Slavda WS-30ET (2015) priced at $32 with a rating of 4.4.
- Slavda WS-40PET (2018) priced at $57 with a rating of 4.6.
- Slavda WS-30ET priced at $33 with a rating of 4.6.
- Slavda WS-60PET priced at $70 with a rating of 4.6.
Thus, the average rating of Slavd’s washing machines is 4.6, and the average price is $550, which indicates a good price-quality ratio.
Models from Renova are represented by the following ratings and prices:
- Renova WS-50 PET (2018) priced at $62 with a rating of 4.7.
- Renova WS-85PE priced at $57 with a rating of 4.7.
- Renova WS-40PET priced at $53 with a rating of 4.4.
- Renova WS-80PET priced at $88 with a rating of 4.7.
- Renova WS-35E priced at $35 with a rating of 4.5.
- Renova WS-70PET priced at $73 with a rating of 4.8.
- Renova WS-50PET priced at $79 with a rating of 4.5.
Thus, the average Renova rating is also about 4.6, and the average cost is $65. Accordingly, most units from Renova are even more expensive than from Slavda, but in terms of quality of operation they are in no way inferior to each other.
