The washing machine turned off during washing and will not turn on again

The washing machine turned off during washing and will not turn on againSometimes housewives, having started a cycle, discover after some time that the machine has stopped working without finishing the laundry. Attempts to reactivate the technique remain unsuccessful. What to do if the washing machine turns off during washing and does not turn on? Which parts should you check first?

What happened to the technology?

Even to a person who knows nothing about repairing washing equipment, it is clear that the machine does not turn on due to a loss of connection with the electrical network. The washing machine will not be able to function without current. Therefore, you will have to pay close attention to all the details responsible for the “power” of the machine.

If the SMA does not turn on, you will have to check the external electrics and internal “conductors”. You should start your search with the obvious things. First of all, look:

  • is there electricity in the apartment and directly in the room where the washing machine is located;
  • Is the socket used to connect the automatic machine working?The socket may be faulty
  • whether the power cord is damaged or whether there are any defects on its plug.

These are the simplest problems that can be easily fixed. There are other, more serious reasons possible. The machine may not turn on due to damage or sticking of the power button, breakdown of the electronic module, or malfunction of the noise filter. To identify the “weak spot”, you will have to check the specified parts one by one.

Electrical communications

Often the machine does not turn on because there is no electricity supplied to the room. Therefore, first of all, click the nearest switch and see if the lights work.Also check the electrical panel - plugs may be knocked out.

Sometimes the machine does not turn on due to network overload, especially if there is low voltage in the house. Therefore, try turning off the power to other powerful electrical appliances and restarting the washing machine. It is also likely that the RCD has tripped, and now, in order to return the device to “life,” it will be necessary to eliminate intra-network damage.Uzo for connecting a washing machine

Next you need to inspect the outlet. Check to see if the plastic case has melted or if there is a burning smell. When the signs are present, the contacts are most likely burned out. If you do not find any visible damage, try connecting a hairdryer or kettle to the power source. If the devices work, therefore, everything is normal with the outlet.

If you find that the plastic body of the outlet is melted or if you smell a burning smell from it, turn off the power supply to the room at the panel and call an electrician.

A socket can melt for various reasons. The most common are short circuit, broken contact, connection of a device that consumes too much power. If you have electrical skills, you can replace the outlet yourself. It is better to install devices on a ceramic base, they are more reliable than plastic ones.

We look at the noise filter

If there is light in the room, the socket is working, then the problem is in the automatic machine itself. The test is carried out from simple to complex. First, the power cord and its plug, as well as the noise suppression filter, are inspected. These parts are interconnected, so they are checked together.

The order of dismantling the elements will be as follows:

  • turn off the power to the automatic machine;
  • close the shut-off valve on the water pipe;
  • move the unit away from the wall to gain access to the rear of the housing;
  • unscrew a pair of screws securing the top cover of the machine;
  • find the interference filter (it is located where the power cord is connected, usually on the left, closer to the back wall);
  • loosen the clamp that secures the power cord;
  • take out the noise filter and the cord itself.

Inspect the wire plug for damage. If everything is visually normal, check the cord with a multimeter. First, the device must be switched to resistance measurement mode and its probes connected. If the display shows zero, then the tester is working and can be used for diagnostics.Let's check the FPS with a multimeter

Then set the multimeter to buzzer mode and ring each strand of the wire. If there is a connection between the tested areas, the device will beep. “Silence” of the device is a clear sign that the cord is faulty.

You cannot test a live wire; before testing, be sure to ensure that it is de-energized.

What to do if a problem is detected? There is no need to repair the wire of an automatic machine with improvised means - use twisting or rewind it with electrical tape. It is much safer to buy and connect a new cord. Otherwise, it is possible that a break or short circuit will recur soon.

Next in line is a surge protector. The probes of a multimeter operating in buzzer mode are connected to the contacts of the capacitor. If everything is good, the resistance is immediately measured. When the tester display shows 0 or 1, the device will have to be changed. To replace it, a FPS is purchased that is completely similar to the one removed.

    I'm interested just in case. The specialist who installed it said that under no circumstances should the door be opened. And if suddenly there is no current, what should you do?

    Thank you very much, it helped, the whole thing turned out to be in the socket.
