Leran washing machine does not spin
It is easy for a housewife to understand that something is wrong with her home appliances. For example, if the Leran washing machine does not spin out clothes, then this can be determined by extremely wet clothes that seem to have not been wrung out at all. This may be due to the fact that for some reason the machine is simply not able to spin the drum to the required speed, so it immediately proceeded to draining the waste liquid. Let's figure out why this can happen and how to deal with it on our own.
What could have happened to the machine?
The worst thing a housewife can do in this situation is to ignore the problem and continue to use the equipment. Of course, you can always spin the laundry manually, as our grandmothers did, but such behavior can lead to the fact that over time the device will fail even more, so repairs will become more difficult and expensive. In order not to waste your time and energy, it is better to fix the problem with the SM as quickly as possible. The main reasons for this malfunction are the following:
- the owner of the washing machine accidentally turned off the spin cycle, or chose a mode in which spinning is simply not provided;
- the control module of the washing machine detected an imbalance in the system, so it turned off the spin cycle for safety;
- the drainage system has stopped working, for example, due to a blockage, the waste liquid cannot go down the drain;
- Hall sensor is broken;
- The electric motor of the washing machine is damaged;
- the bearing unit has failed;
- there is a foreign object in the tank or drum, due to which the container cannot unwind;
- The SM control board has failed.
What to do if you find one or several problems from this list? Fortunately, most of these problems can be easily fixed without even calling a repair service, so you can fix the problem in just a few hours. You will only have to call the technician if there is a problem with the control board, or in a situation where the device is still under warranty. Let's look at several problems that housewives encounter most often.
The program does not include spinning
The easiest way to act is when, out of ignorance, a program without spinning was activated. The Leran washing machine will not spin items if the mode for cleaning wool, silk, down, delicate fabrics, as well as the hand wash cycle has been selected. To rule out this option, check the selected wash program.
In addition, it is worth considering the possibility of adjusting the spin speed - on the equipment of this brand you can set both the maximum speed of revolutions per minute and the minimum. Maybe the mode was selected correctly, but you accidentally set the minimum spin speed, which is why the clothes remained wet.
To test this theory, just activate the device and run any fast cycle that includes a spin cycle. While the machine is running, carefully monitor it to make sure it is spinning or not. If things are not wrung out again, then you will have to begin a thorough diagnosis of the “home assistant”.
Something caused the drum to become unbalanced
Perhaps the spin cycle was provided in the selected mode, but the machine still does not need repairs. The problem may be due to an imbalance in the system, which usually appears due to the drum being overloaded or a lump of things forming inside. In such situations, the CM control module simply stops the operating cycle so that the equipment is not damaged due to imbalance.
It is noteworthy that washing machines manufactured five years ago and later most often suffer from this problem, because modern models have special sensors installed that do not allow the situation to get out of control. If an imbalance does appear, the user will be informed using a special message on the display. For clarity, let’s look at how exactly imbalance manifests itself most often?
- After washing and rinsing is completed, the machine begins to spin the spin drum.
- If he does not succeed, then during each attempt a strong hum and tapping will be heard.
- Because of this, the washing machine will begin to vibrate excessively and even jump.
- This will be recorded by the SM control module, which will cancel the spin procedure and initiate draining of the waste liquid.
- As soon as the water goes down the drain, the program will be completed.
- Thus, without spinning, the operation of the device will end approximately 15 minutes earlier, and the user will receive clean but wet laundry.
What to do to avoid this unpleasant situation? If you see that the problem has arisen due to the drum being overloaded, then simply pause the operation, remove some clothes, and then continue washing. If the problem arose due to a small amount of clothing in the system, then you should simply load a few things.Finally, when the problem occurs due to laundry collected in one large lump, you should stop the wash, open the door, redistribute the items in the drum and restart the cycle.
The formation of an imbalance negatively affects not only spin, but also the integrity of key components of the system.
Please note that the longer the machine tries to spin the drum to maximum speed, the higher the chance of failure of the internal components of the SM. This is due to the fact that excessive vibration and jumping will cause parts to hit each other. The ones that suffer the most in this situation are the shock-absorbing system, the bearing assembly and the shaft. Because of this, it is always necessary to monitor the imbalance, avoid overloading and not move too far from the equipment in order to quickly take action if necessary.
Engine faulty
Finally, we will look at simple machine repairs that may be required if problems arise with the electric motor. If the electric motor is faulty, then it will not be able to spin the drum to the required speed. You can check it as follows:
- disconnect the “home assistant” from all communications;
- move it away from the wall to gain access to the back wall;
- disconnect the back panel by unscrewing all the fixing bolts in advance;
- remove the drive belt from the pulley;
- disconnect all wires from the electric motor;
It is better to first take a photo of the wiring connection, so that you can use it as an example during reassembly.
- remove the screws holding the motor;
- Gently rock the assembly to remove it from the washer.
Afterwards all that remains is to carefully inspect the engine.Often, problems can be seen with the naked eye - black spots on parts, damage to insulation, a clear burning smell. In addition, you should examine the graphite rods of electric brushes, which wear out during prolonged use of the machine.
In a situation where no damage is detected, it is worth checking the resistance of the element using an ordinary multimeter. If the test result is less than the norm, then a short circuit has occurred, if more, then the stator or rotor winding has broken. In this situation, repair will not help; you will have to purchase a new electric motor.
