Indesit washing machine does not turn off
In the “Cotton” mode, bed linen is washed for two hours. The “Quick Wash” mode allows you to restore the cleanliness and freshness of any item in just thirty minutes. At least that much time is required to complete the program (if the equipment is working properly). In some cases, the Indesit washing machine does not turn off even after completing three or more textile cycles. What leads to such violations? Let's try to figure it out!
Problem in the drainage system of the machine
One of the common reasons for Indesit to not work correctly is an error in connecting the equipment to the sewer system. In particular, the drain hose must not be placed at a height of less than 50 centimeters. If you ignore this requirement, the water will be drained immediately after entering the tank of the household appliance. The heating element will heat up, but will not be able to heat the endless water flow. The result of this action is known: excessive consumption of water, fire of the heating element, the need for frequent pumping of the cesspool or septic tank.
How to check if the drain hose is installed correctly? Take a tape measure and measure the distance between the floor and the highest point where the hose will be placed. If it is less than 50 centimeters, you should know that the washing machine requires reconnection. You can completely avoid the problem of erroneously organizing a drain if you turn to a professional for help.
Control board
Problems with the machine turning off after washing may be caused by a malfunction of the control module. In this case, the equipment continues to wash until the power is turned off.Or, even worse, a short circuit occurs, which completely disables the control module.
It is not possible to fix this type of problem on your own. If you encounter them, you have to call a technician who can disassemble the Indesit, diagnose its board and carry out the necessary repairs.
Let's pay attention to the heating element
Long-term washing may be a consequence of a broken heating element. If it fails, the water will either not heat up at all or will take longer to heat up. And this, in turn, delays the “start” and increases the total duration of wet processing of the textile product!
How can you check the functionality of an electric heater? Necessary:
- disassemble the machine;
- inspect the heating element wires;
- measure the resistance of the heating element.
If any irregularities are detected in its operation, it is worth replacing the failed spare part with a new one. The heater is not repaired.
Important! Modern technical solutions from Indesit allow you to diagnose a problem with the heating element without disassembling it; you just need to see F08 on the display - an error code indicating a breakdown of the electric heater.
Debris plug in filter or hose
If the machine does not drain water for a long time, the problem lies in the filter and drain hose. Over time, the presented type of consumables becomes clogged. When this happens, the equipment cannot quickly remove the water from the tank.
What to do? First of all, experts recommend cleaning the drain filter (located in the lower part of the body of the household appliance). Further, this procedure should be carried out at least once a month.This is the only way to prevent the growth of fungus and pathogenic bacteria on the internal surfaces of equipment and equipment failure.
The hose clogs much less often than the drain filter. If, despite this feature, the reason for the incorrect operation of Indesit lies precisely in it, you have to contact a specialist. Otherwise, you may encounter the problem of flooding of your living space.
