How much do dishwashers cost?
For most consumers, the price of a Bosch, Indesit, Candy and other brand dishwasher is its main characteristic. Of course, this does not mean that everyone is ready to buy anything because of a low price, as long as the dishes can be washed, but most buyers definitely look at the price first of all. A dishwasher can cost $10,000 or $60,000 or even $2,500, the price range is huge, but what determines the price of the machine, which models are the cheapest and which are the most expensive, and is it worth overpaying? We'll talk about all this further.
What makes up the price of a dishwasher?
At first glance, it seems that the answer to this question is very simple: material, technology, equipment and its depreciation, labor resources, taxes, advertising, transportation costs and much more that the manufacturer invests in the cost of the final product - this is the basis of the future cost of a dishwasher. In reality, everything is much more complicated. Well-known companies with large turnover spend only up to 30% of their real cost on the production of their dishwashers.
According to experts, the well-known company Bosch spends only about 20-28% of the market value of a dishwasher on its production, while about 17% is spent on advertising alone.. However, the manufacturer himself makes sure that the cost of Bosch dishwashers does not go beyond the limits identified by marketers, but there are also intermediaries. Most consumers purchase a dishwasher from intermediaries, and they are not shy when setting prices. Let's give examples.
- A small Candy CDCF6 dishwasher in Moscow costs $154 at one outlet and $180 at another. We will not name these retail outlets so as not to advertise to them, but these offers can easily be found on the Internet.
- A small Bosch SKS51E01 dishwasher in Moscow costs $221 in one shopping center and $349 in another.
- A narrow Whirlpool ADPF872 dishwasher in Moscow costs $221 in one store, and $324 in another.
- A full-size non-built-in dishwasher Hansa ZWM646 in Moscow costs $228 in one store, and $334 in another.
The list of examples can be continued almost indefinitely, but a logical question immediately arises: where do intermediaries get such prices from? Why can the same dishwasher in the same city in different stores cost almost 2 times more?
For your information! Quite often, intermediaries inflate prices for dishwashers due to the high rent that they are forced to include in the cost of the product - be careful.
There are enough reasons for this, including objective ones. For our part, we urge consumers to be more careful when purchasing dishwashers. Before making the final decision to purchase a particular brand and model of Bosch, Indesit, Candy, Ariston or another dishwasher, compare prices in at least several stores. It will be a shame if you buy equipment that is 2 times more expensive than its real cost and it’s not always about money – it’s a matter of principle!
The most popular dishwashers at low prices
Dishwashers in the low price category are by definition the most popular. True, it is believed that their quality is lower and they wash dishes worse. Is this so, let's find out by doing a short review.

- Indesit DSG Narrow, non-built-in dishwasher from a well-known Italian manufacturer. The machine has a neutral, simple design, which allows it to fit into any kitchen, 5 standard washing programs, and partial protection against leaks.
