Washing modes of the Indesit vertical washing machine Before you start using your new washing machine, you need to understand its programs. Most of the modes of the Indesit top-loading washing machine are well known to everyone, as they are also found on other models, including front-loaders. However, the memory of “verticals” also contains unusual algorithms.

Basic algorithms

Having bought a new washing machine, you want to test the device as soon as possible. However, there is no need to rush. First of all, read the instruction manual. The user manual tells you how to install and connect the SMA, describes all washing modes and available additional functions.

By understanding the features of each algorithm, the user will be able to achieve maximum washing results and not harm things. Therefore, studying the instructions is an integral step in preparing for the operation of the AMS.

The modes on Indesit top-loading machines are in most cases the same as on the front-loading machines of this brand. The software “filling” varies depending on the model. Let's analyze the algorithms that are found on “verticals”.

Cotton. Standard algorithm for washing cotton fabrics. There are several variations of this mode in Indesit vertical water heaters, differing in water heating temperature and cycle duration. The degree can be adjusted from 40 to 90, the operating time of the machine will depend on this. You can connect the “Pre-wash” option to the program. The default spin speed is maximum (provided by the model).
Cotton Eco. A program similar to the previous one, but characterized by increased resource conservation. Suitable for moderately soiled laundry.The water is heated to 60°C, the default spin speed is maximum.
Synthetics. Algorithm for the care of synthetic and mixed fabrics. The water warms up to 40°C. The cycle lasts 71 minutes. The spin is performed at maximum speed.
Wool. Program for washing wool, acrylic, cashmere products. Temperature mode – 40°C, spinning is performed at minimum speed. The cycle lasts 50 minutes.
Particularly delicate fabrics and clothing. This algorithm is suitable for caring for silk, satin, lace, and viscose. Washing is done in cool water, heated to 30°C. Spinning is not provided. The duration of the program is 52 minutes.
Sport shoes. According to the instructions, a maximum of 2 pairs of shoes can be loaded into the drum in this mode. The water is heated to 30°C, the cycle continues for 50 minutes.
Sportswear. This algorithm is launched when training uniforms are loaded into the drum: leggings, tops, shorts, suits. Temperature – 30°C. Duration of execution – 63 minutes.
Casual. Program for quick washing of lightly soiled laundry. The cycle lasts only 30 minutes, which saves time and energy. In this mode, you can wash different types of fabrics together (with the exception of wool and silk). The manufacturer recommends using liquid detergent - the powder granules may not completely dissolve in cool water in a short time.
Jeans. Algorithm for caring for denim clothing. The water is heated to 40°C, the spin speed is reduced to minimum.
Express 15. A fast algorithm found on some vertical models. Allows you to refresh your laundry in water heated to 30°C.
Mixed laundry.A regime for caring for clothes made from mixed fabrics containing both natural and artificial fibers. The default washing temperature is 40°C, cycle duration is 100 minutes.
Colored linen. Program for washing brightly colored items that are prone to fading. Temperature – 40°C, duration – 95 minutes.
Down and feather products. Algorithm for caring for down jackets, jackets, blankets, pillows. The water warms up to 30°C, the drum rotates more gently to prevent the filler from clumping. It is recommended to use liquid detergent.

The efficiency of washing and the safety of things will depend on how correctly the mode is selected.

You cannot wash woolen items on the “Cotton” cycle. Also, this algorithm is not suitable for delicate fabrics - they will deteriorate. Therefore, study the information on the labels of items, sort the clothes and choose the optimal washing parameters for each batch.

Secondary functions

In addition to the main washing modes, additional options are stored in the intelligence of the Indesit vertical washing machines. Auxiliary functions allow you to achieve the desired cleanliness of your laundry and improve the quality of washing. To run the algorithm, you must:

press the button of the desired function;
wait for the indicator corresponding to the option to turn on - this will confirm that the add-on is activated.

Frequent flashing of the indicator will indicate the impossibility of connecting this additional function to the selected mode.

What auxiliary functions are we talking about?

Delay timer. You can delay the start of the cycle for a certain time (from 1 to 24 hours). This option is compatible with absolutely all modes of Indesit washing machines.
Removing stains. An additional whitening cycle to combat the most stubborn stains.The function is only compatible with the “Cotton” and “Synthetics” algorithms; it can also be connected to the “Rinse” mode.
Easy ironing. The purpose of this option is to reduce the degree of fabric creasing to make subsequent ironing easier. The drum rotates more smoothly, due to which creases do not form on things. The add-on is compatible with all modes except fast.
Additional rinse. This option increases the efficiency of rinsing and allows you to completely wash out detergent residues from the fabric fibers. It is recommended to run the function when the SMA is fully loaded and a large amount of powder is used.
Prewash. This stage is similar to soaking. The function is activated when washing heavily soiled, durable laundry.

Please note that connecting additional options to the main mode will increase the cycle duration. The indicators that indicate the activation of each function are described in the user manual.

Selecting a mode and starting the wash

Users who have previously owned a front-loading washing machine may experience difficulty when starting the top-loader for the first time. However, there is nothing complicated in operating such washing machines - everything is done by analogy.

First of all, you need to sort your laundry and understand which algorithm is more suitable for washing things. Also consider whether additional options will be required. Further:

open the lid of the machine and load things into the drum;
add detergent and, if necessary, bleach or conditioner to the dispenser;
close the drum flaps, press the top panel of the MCA tightly;
turn on the washing machine;
press the network button;
use the programmer to select the desired washing mode;
adjust cycle settings (temperature, spin) if necessary;
connect auxiliary functions;
activate the cycle with the “Start” button.

When the “vertical” washes things, the “On/Hatch locked” indicator will light up. This means you can open the lid and remove items from the drum. Afterwards, you need to turn off the washing machine by pressing the appropriate button and leave it half-open for ventilation.
