“Super 40” mode in the washing machine
Payments for housing and communal services are constantly growing, and in some European countries, “utilities” have long crossed the “line” and become very expensive. People try to save as much as possible on the resources they consume and choose more energy-efficient equipment. Manufacturers of household appliances noticed the trend and released washing machines that can save water and light.
This is how the “Super 40” washing mode appeared in the Beko washing machine - an opportunity to reduce costs without giving up quality cleaning. It remains to understand the features of the resource-saving cycle and its characteristics.
Features of the “Super 40”
The “Super 40” mode is a development of Beko technologists. When analyzing the functionality of the washing machine, engineers drew attention to the uneconomical nature of the “Cotton” algorithm. When activated, the machine draws a lot of water, then heats it to 60-90 degrees and maintains a high temperature throughout the entire cycle. As a result, things are washed well, but too many resources are wasted.
In an attempt to improve the cotton program, Super 40 was born. Its parameters:
- washing class – A;
- heating temperature – 40 degrees;
- duration – 136 minutes;
- spin speed – 1000 (can be adjusted as desired).
The “Super 40” mode involves heating the water in the tank to 40 degrees, which allows you to save on energy costs.
This program works at 40 degrees, but lasts longer. As a result, washing quality similar to the Cotton 60 mode is ensured, and electricity and water are consumed several times less. The only negative lies in the cycle time - you have to wait more than 2 hours.
Other modes of the Beko machine
The “Super 40” mode is designed for more intensive washing when you need to clean heavily soiled dense fabrics. For other laundry, quick or delicate cleaning, it is recommended to choose other positions, depending on the type and color of the fabric. For user convenience, a basic program set is already stored in the memory of Beko washing machines. You just need to find the right button and start the cycle.
- Cotton. High temperature program for washing heavily soiled items. Main parameters: heating to 60-90 degrees, maximum spin and duration about 120-150 minutes.
- Cotton Eco. An improved “cotton” cycle, in which the water is heated to 40-70 degrees. As a result, the wash lasts about 180 minutes and uses less electricity.
- Synthetics. Special mode for washing synthetic and mixed fabrics. An optimal temperature of 40 degrees has been selected to prevent shedding and deformation of the linen. The machine runs for about 2 hours.
- Dark fabrics. Allows you to preserve the original color thanks to ideally selected temperature and spin conditions. Time – 102 minutes.
- Washing shirts. Due to gentle washing in warm water, the shirts do not wrinkle. At the same time, all problem areas, collar, armpits and cuffs are completely washed away from stains in 2 hours.
- Mix 40. Universal cycle for joint cleaning of different types of fabric, for example, cotton, knitwear and synthetics. The parameters are adjusted manually, the duration depends on the selected degree of heating.
- Mini. Launched to quickly clean a small batch of lightly soiled laundry. The heating is adjustable and the time can be set between 30-90 minutes.
- Handwash. Automatic alternative to traditional washing.Selected for caring for delicate thin materials - silk, lace, acrylic. The washing machine heats up to 30 degrees and runs for 40-55 minutes.
- Kids' things. Often referred to as "Baby protect". Lasts 160 minutes and features high heat and generous rinsing. Thanks to the use of a large volume of water, all powder and dirt are washed out of the fabric, which prevents the development of allergic reactions.
- Wool. Special program for delicate cleaning of woolen products. Cold water, smooth rotation of the drum, prolongation of the cycle and minimal spin ensure high-quality washing, eliminating deformation of clothes and the appearance of pills.
- Pooh. Used for bulky items with fillings: soft toys, pillows, blankets. Helps clean products from allergens and dirt.
- Fast. A function that, when turned on, reduces the duration of “Cotton” and “Synthetics”. An important nuance - it is used only for lightly soiled clothes and when the drum is half loaded.
- Sportswear. Designed for high-quality cleaning of membrane fabrics and thermal underwear from sweat and other difficult stains. Cycle time is about 110-140 minutes.
- Saving. The water in the tank does not heat up, which significantly saves utility costs. For surface cleaning only and using liquid detergents.
- Refreshing. Designed to eliminate unpleasant odors from fibers. Suitable for quickly cleaning new, lightly soiled and stale items in the closet. Lasts no more than 17 minutes and only in cold water.
- Jeans. A special regime for the care of denim products. The optimal temperature of up to 40 degrees prevents shedding and shrinkage of the material. The cycle lasts about 100-105 minutes.
- Self-cleaning.When the function is activated, the washing machine will run a two-hour cycle for self-cleaning. Involves heating up to 60 degrees and several rinsing stages. It is carried out without laundry and requires adding a special cleaner.
In addition to the basic modes, Beko also has additional ones. These include soaking, with which you can let things “soak” in a soap solution to better remove stains. Additional rinsing and light ironing are also provided to protect items from wrinkles. Using the Super 40 mode, you can clean even stubborn stains without extra costs. If it is inconvenient to constantly use the resource-saving option, then Beko has faster alternatives in its “arsenal”.
