How does this algorithm work?

The mode for cleaning woolen items functions approximately the same on all LG machines. To start the wash, you need to turn the programmer to the “Wool” or “Wool/Hand Wash” position, and then press the “Start/Stop” button. The corresponding indicator will light up, and the display will show the main characteristics of the cycle:

heating - 40 degrees;
rpm – 800;
duration – 60 minutes.

The temperature in the “Wool” mode cannot be increased, only reduced to 30 or 20. You can also adjust the spin by setting the speed to 400 or 600. Ideally, it is better to avoid the final spin altogether, completing the cycle at the rinsing stage.

Woolen items are washed in cold water and with minimal rotation of the drum.

The cycle follows the standard sequence: drawing and heating water, washing, rinsing, spinning and draining. Several important features make the “Wool” mode special:

water is dosed by pouring into the tank in small portions;
For more than half of the cycle, the drum is motionless, which allows the wool to be saturated with soapy water;
the drum rotates softly, smoothly and intermittently;
things are rinsed twice: before spinning and after;
During the final rinse, conditioner is removed from the dispenser.

Thanks to a unique algorithm, gentle washing is ensured - the knitting is cleaned without shrinking or stretching. But you should understand that the delicate program is not designed for high-quality stain or odor removal. Things are refreshed rather than washed. Sometimes certain sections of a sweater or cardigan remain completely dry. Especially if you load too many things into the drum.

“Arsenal” of LG machine algorithms

The “Wool” program is one of 10-25 preinstalled on LG washing machines. In addition to it, the machine’s memory contains other modes, also launched by pressing a couple of buttons. There will be no problems with selecting and activating the mode cycle: all the keys are clearly labeled and labeled. You just need to choose the most suitable position correctly.

Cotton. If for woolen items you need a delicate wash, then for thick cotton items - hot water, intensive spinning and 2 hours. This is the only way to remove stains from cotton and get rid of the unpleasant odor.
Quick clap. This is a simplified version of the previous program and is used for cotton fabrics with minimal soiling. Here cleaning lasts no more than 1-1.5 hours, and the water is heated only to 40-60 degrees.
Fast 30. An accelerated cycle that lasts only 30 minutes. Heating is limited to 30-40 degrees, and spin is set to maximum.
Synthetics or everyday cleaning. Special mode for clothes made of synthetic materials: nylon, polyamide, polyester and acrylic. The temperature is set to 30-40 degrees, and the time is set to 70 minutes.Optimal parameters ensure that things retain their color and shape.

The “Fast 30” mode lasts only half an hour!

Delicate. Ideal for silk, lace and satin. Smooth rotation, cold water and a cycle shortened to 30 minutes.
Duvet blanked. The name speaks for itself: the program is included for bulky items filled with down. Water heating stops at 40, and the timer is set to 90 minutes.
Baby's clothes. Indispensable when washing children's clothes. The linen is washed in hot water for 1 hour 40 minutes, after which it is rinsed several times and thoroughly spun. As a result, the user receives clean and soft diapers that are safe for children from birth.

In addition to the basic modes, LG washing machines have several unique functions. As a rule, they are rarely used - due to ignorance and irrelevance. But if necessary, they can provide high-quality and safe cleaning of fabric from “ticklish” stains.

Biocare. Designed to combat organic stains: wine, grass, blood, lipstick and chocolate.
It is a steam treatment. When the program is activated, the steam generator turns on, releasing hot, humidified air into the drum. Due to the steam, allergens and stains are removed from the fibers, the fabric is smoothed, and foreign odors are eliminated. The cycle lasts about 20 minutes.
Accelerated wash that lasts exactly 59 minutes. Suitable for lightly soiled items and characterized by economical use of resources.
Hypoallergenic. Thanks to high temperature and abundant rinsing, dirt and detergent are washed out completely, eliminating allergic reactions.
Quiet operation. Often referred to as "Overnight wash".Due to the smooth rotation of the drum, the engine runs quietly, which is optimal for starting the machine at night.
Sportswear. Included for membrane, spandex and lycra items.

Each LG washing machine also has separate spin, rinse and dry modes. The user will also be pleased with the ability to reset or cancel a running cycle.
