Modern automatic washing machines have many different options designed to improve washing results. Of course, if you use them correctly. The undoubted advantage of the LG washing machine is the presence of such a function as “No wrinkles”, which does not allow things to become too wrinkled during washing.
What does the option do?
Almost all housewives speak very highly of the crease-free mode in the LG washing machine. At the same time, they explain that it is especially convenient when washing synthetic shirts, blouses, and T-shirts.
The machine leaves very few wrinkles on clothes, so ironing them later is easier.
And some items made of synthetic and mixed materials do not need to be ironed at all - just take them out after finishing washing and simply hang them on a hanger for one day or dry them flat on a flat surface.
However, it should be noted that this mode is designed for certain fabrics. It is useless when washing cotton items, for example, bed linen. In addition, correct loading of the drum is important for correct operation. If you stuff it full of things, the “No Creases” mode will not be able to complete the task, so this function can only be performed when the drum is half full.
How does the machine achieve results?
How does an LG washing machine achieve less creasing of clothes? In fact, it's simple. The developers have created a special algorithm for rotating the drum, which prevents things from clumping during the spin cycle - it is interrupted several times to mix the laundry.That is, while performing this function, things are periodically shaken and redistributed, so there is minimal formation of folds.
How exactly does this happen? A standard spin lasts from 7 to 15 minutes. At this time, the drum rotates continuously. But if the “No folds” mode is activated in the program, then the machine stops spinning several times and simply shakes the drum from side to side to “break” the lump of things and “loose” the laundry. This method is almost always effective.
However, on models of LG washing machines that can support high-speed spinning - more than 1200 rpm, a serious drawback is noticeable. In this case, the laundry simply sticks to the walls of the drum and even shaking cannot shake it and throw it back into the pile. Therefore, despite the “No wrinkles” function being turned on, the laundry ends up being very wrinkled. So, to complete the task, you need to set the spin speed to no higher than 800 rpm.
How to set the mode?
A description of the “No creases” mode and its installation is in the detailed instructions for the washing machine. It installs very easily. It must be activated on the control panel when setting the main wash program. You need to do the following steps step by step:
- select the washing program using the selector;
- adjust temperature, spin speed;
- press the “No folds” button;
- press the “Start/Stop” button.
Please note that activating the No Crease function will increase the total wash program time by 5 to 7 minutes. But this is not so much compared to the duration of the basic washing program. But these minutes will save a lot of time, which you could later spend on ironing.
By the way, if you have decided on all the washing parameters, you can press the “Preferred mode” button. Then all the settings will remain in the machine’s memory and next time you will not need to set all the parameters again. It will be enough to press the key for this option.

I love LG washing machines, this is the second one in a row. Maintainable and reliable. There is no need to cut the drum to replace bearings. The modes are written in text, and not in incomprehensible symbols, as in European ones. After spinning, the direct drive machine shakes the laundry.
