Preparatory stage

slotted and Phillips screwdrivers;
open-end wrenches of different sizes;
set of socket heads;
pliers.

It is also necessary to prepare a low, large container for collecting water and several dry rags. It doesn't hurt to have a smartphone with a camera on hand. When disassembling the machine, it is better to photograph the connection diagrams of the contacts and the location of the wires, so as not to make mistakes when reassembling.

The amount of work to be done will depend on the nature of the breakdown. To replace the drive belt, you can simply remove the side wall of the housing. In more serious cases, you will have to disassemble the machine completely. It is better to first study the instructions for the equipment in order to understand where which components are located.

Also, disassembling the vertical Electrolux will require patience and free time. It is necessary to act carefully, without deviating from the instructions. Dismantling the unit

Although vertical cameras consist of the same elements as front-facing cameras, they are disassembled differently. Before tampering with the washing machine, read the user manual. The instructions show a diagram of the location of the automatic machine components - it will give an understanding of the location of the main parts of the automatic machine.

Before disassembling, be sure to turn off the power to the washing machine.

Before starting work, unplug the power cord of the vertical stand from the outlet to avoid electric shock. Then close the shut-off valve in front of the washer’s inlet hose and disconnect the machine from the water supply and sewerage. Further algorithm of actions:

move the machine to a free place so that you have access to all sides of its body;
prepare the necessary tools;
remove the dashboard. On some Electrolux models, you will first need to unscrew the bolts around the perimeter, on others you just need to pry up the “tidy” and bend the latches. The disconnected part can either be removed completely by disconnecting the wiring, or hung on the side wall of the SMA;
find the fasteners holding the housing cover, unscrew them and remove the panel;
loosen the clamps on the intake valve pipe, disconnect the hoses, unhook the wires connected to it and push out the solenoid valve;
dismantle the side walls of the case, having dealt with their fastenings;
remove the fasteners of the front wall, opening access to the main internal elements of the vertical;
disconnect the wiring from the tank (for Electrolux verticals, there is no need to remove the tank from the housing even when replacing bearings - the rings can be installed right in place);
remove the drive belt from the pulley;
disconnect the contacts from the heating element, twist the central nut, press the bolt inward, and remove the heater itself from the mounting socket;
reset the contacts from the motor, remove the bolts securing it and pull the motor out of the housing;
Unclench the clamps on the pipes connected to the pump, then remove the drain pump by turning it counterclockwise.

The cover of the vertical machine can be disassembled additionally. It is necessary to lay the panel on a flat surface. First, the powder receptacle is dismantled - pull the tray towards you until it leaves the seat.

Next, you need to press the top latch, remove the button and unscrew the two screws hidden behind it. Then turn the door over, find the handle and unfasten the holders, thereby “halving” the element.

A vertical washer is easier to disassemble than a front-facing washer. Here you don’t have to pull out the tank by removing it from the shock absorbers. Now you can begin diagnosing and repairing the machine. Do not forget about the need to clean the washing machine elements from dirt and limescale deposits.
