Who is the manufacturer of Hansa washing machines?

Hansa washing machineHansa washing machines are known as reliable European appliances. They appeared on the Russian market relatively recently, but many users have already appreciated them. What are the advantages of Hansa brand washing machines, what are their weaknesses, and in what country they are assembled: we’ll talk about this.

Brand history

Hansa is not a manufacturer of household appliances, it is just a brand that belongs to the Polish company Amica Wronki S.A., founded in 1921. The first products of the plant were kitchen utensils, then heating appliances.

The Soviet Union is well familiar with the gas stoves of this company, produced since 1961. The further history of equipment production began to change only in the 90s:

  • in 1992, a plant for the production of built-in household appliances appeared;
  • in 1996, a refrigerator assembly plant was built;
  • in 1997 the brand was created Hansa, under which they begin to sell stoves and other equipment;
  • in 2000, another plant for the production and repair of washing machines appeared.

Note! The Amica company has only 4 factories in Poland, which are engaged in the production of a certain type of equipment. This equipment is supplied to stores in 50 countries around the world both under the Amica brand and under the Hansa, Premier, and Gram brands.

On the market in Russia there are washing machines and other Hansa appliances not only made in Poland, but also made in Turkey and China. It is not known for certain whether these are subsidiaries or enterprises operating under a license from Amica, the copyright holder of this brand. Draw your own conclusion.

Advantages and disadvantages

Hansa washing machineRegardless of the country in which Hansa washing machines were assembled, they are recognizable and have their own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. Let's start with the pros:

  • secondly, wide functionality, some machine models have up to 23 washing modes and functions, for example, the Hansa AWB 508LR machine;
  • thirdly, the machines have low noise and vibration levels;
  • fourthly, they have clear controls, such washing machines are easy to learn and use;
  • fifthly, washing machines from Hansa can last for more than a year, even with intensive use.

For your information! Hansa washing machines have a large drum load from 5 to 9 kg of dry laundry, some models are equipped with a drying function. Models are available in classic white, dark gray and even red.

  2. short inlet and drain hose, which complicates the connection process;
  3. low quality of steel used in production;
  4. rapid clogging of filters;
  5. difficulties in purchasing spare parts in the event of a breakdown, although these machines break down extremely rarely.

User reviews

To understand how good Hansa washing machines are, we decided to look for reviews, and here are the ones that interested us most.

I had a Hansa Comfort 1000 washing machine for four years, and all this time I was sure that it was assembled in Germany. I couldn’t get enough of it; I liked its design, compact dimensions and large number of programs for different fabrics. I only learned about her true Polish origin when I decided to write a review. I bought this washing machine thinking it was German, I appreciate German quality, but I didn’t realize to read the country of manufacture on the packaging.

What’s amazing about this machine is the water injection system during washing, which gives a positive effect when washing. The display always shows the exact time until the end of the wash. But there were also shortcomings in it. The main one is fast clogged filterwhich needs to be cleaned very often. The second is the presence of a large gap between the drum and the door; various small things get into it, which is extremely inconvenient. Despite this, I loved the machine very much, but it broke down due to a short circuit and the control board burned out. The replacement turned out to be too expensive, and therefore it was decided to buy a new Belarusian one.

I really don’t like the Hansa Comfort 1000 washing machine, I have something to compare it to, it’s my third one. I bought it after the nice words of the seller in the store, and persuaded me. But almost immediately after the purchase, problems began to appear. Firstly, the machine reacts to overload or underload, since it has a weight sensor, after washing it freezes and refuses to spin the laundry. It's annoying to have to take things out and put them back in when you're in a hurry to get somewhere.

Secondly, the instructions are incomplete. It is not indicated how to clear a program crash or which button to press. Thirdly, over the seven years of operation, the machine was repaired 6 times. The heating element and the drive belt were replaced twice, and the drain hose and bearings were changed once each. The only advantage of this machine is that it has a large number of convenient modes.

We really wanted to buy a washing machine with a drying function; we spent a long time looking for a model at an affordable price. We settled on Hans's machine, model WDHS1260L.The machine performs its functions perfectly. On full drying, things become overdried, so I choose medium drying. I haven’t seen such machines now, but I advise everyone to buy such equipment.

We bought a Hansa AWB 508LR washing machine and have been using it for more than six months. The washing machine has many modes that are easy to customize. The machine consumes little water and electricity. Excellent washes laundry. I trust German quality, my husband chose what he needed. I hope my review will help you make a choice.

As you can see, washing machines of this brand are in demand due to their affordable price. But not many people know that these washing machines are assembled in Poland, China or Turkey; some are still sure that the country of origin is Germany. This does not mean that they are of poor quality, but the fact that they differ from German ones is for sure. Be careful when making your choice!

    Hansa is a good machine. It worked for 6 years, then the program flew, the technicians fixed it for 3500. A year has passed and exactly the same thing... but with all this, its advantages are huge, it takes a lot of laundry, rinses well and the pump practically does not require cleaning (there is simply nothing to clean as much as you open it). It's a shame it broke!
