Where are Vestfrost washing machines made?
When we think about buying a washing machine, well-known brands such as Samsung, Bosch or Miele most often come to mind. They are functional, reliable and durable, but they are not cheap. And the more features, the higher the price. And if you want to purchase an option where the price-quality ratio will be optimal? Then you should pay attention to the line of models of Vestfrost brand washing machines. Those born in the USSR remember this company’s household appliances (refrigerators, electric stoves), but few know who the manufacturer of Vestfrost washing machines is today.
In which country are Vestfrost washing machines manufactured?
Country of origin: Türkiye. This is where Vestel is located, which completely absorbed the Danish brand in 2008. And the entire line of Vestfrost models rolls off the assembly lines at its factories in the city of Manisa. Therefore, we can say that Vestfrost products are coming to the Russian market for the second time.
Both the components and the design of such washing machines are practically no different from Vestel machines. This is not surprising, since Turkish engineers are developing modern Vestfrost models.
Brand history
Vestfrost, founded in 1963 in Denmark, began its activities with the production of refrigeration equipment. Since the Scandinavian countries were the main exporters of fish, it was in demand. In 1973, Westfrost became part of the Electrolux concern and developed in two directions:
- Household – production of household appliances for the home (refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, etc.);
- Solutions – production of professional equipment (refrigeration units for the HoReCa business segment).
In the market of household refrigerators, it made a revolution because it produced refrigerators of any color, taking into account the wishes of the client. In 1979, the millionth refrigerator rolled off the assembly line, and over the entire existence of Vestfrost, more than 12 million of them were sold. By 1990, 96% of all products produced by the company were exported. For which she was awarded the Danish King Frederik IX Prize. And in 1996, for the reliability and environmental safety of its products, it was awarded the international ISO certificate: DSENISO 9001. Two years later, the Society for Environmental Protection, for the first time in history, issued an industrial enterprise a license to use the Ecolabel of the European Community.
The Turkish brand Vestel, since its founding in 1984, has absorbed many of its competitors. In 2008, Vestfrost also took this into account.

Nine months ago I purchased a Vestfrost VFWM 1241 W washing machine, manufactured in Turkey. I chose long and carefully, looking through reviews and comparing characteristics. In our family, we can’t live without an assistant. Two kids, so I have to do laundry every day. The previous machine was standard, with a maximum load of up to 5 kg. This is not enough for us, we wanted a little more. Well, the price is reasonable. I chose Vestfrost VFWM 1241 W and have never regretted it.
Advantages:
- I really like the design, it looks more expensive in appearance;
- washes clean. The stain on the baby blanket, which its predecessor could not get rid of, disappeared during the first wash (cotton program at 90°C);
- many modes and clear electronic controls, convenient loading;
- There is a child lock.This is important to us;
- The wow factor for me is the display. It's very cool when you see how much time is left until the end of the wash.
Flaws:
- The noise level is similar to that of a dishwasher. But I’m ready to put up with this;
- The pump draws water quite loudly.
It turns on and off without a sound signal, only “END” appears on the display. In general, I'm happy with the purchase. I use it often, I wash it a lot, I don’t have to rewash it, the main thing is not to skimp on the powder.

I have been using the Vestfrost VFWM 1040 WL washing machine (manufacturing country: Turkey) for 7 months now. It so happened that the main selection criterion was the size, namely the 60 cm niche left over from the previous washing machine. The bathroom is small, so only narrow models with a depth of up to 40 cm were considered.
The country of manufacture was not particularly interested, the main thing was not China. So, the search ended with the purchase of the VFWM 1040 WL with overall dimensions of 59.6x41 cm, although we have not heard anything about the manufacturer of Vestfrost washing machines.
Advantages:
- beautiful appearance. The loading hatch with chrome trim looks stylish and elegant. Typically, manufacturers don't bother with the design of such narrow washing machines. And this one has its own twist;
- a large number of programs. I immediately fell in love with the quick wash (15 min). It’s very convenient when you need to refresh frequently used items in a jiffy;
- the availability of anti-allergenic, overnight and hand wash was a discovery;
- energy consumption class A++. Since we do laundry often, economical energy consumption is very important. Moreover, this does not affect the spin speed (1000 rpm). You get the laundry almost dry.
Flaws:
- I’ve been using it for less than a year and haven’t found any shortcomings;
The unit copes with its tasks quite well and washes clothes well. When spinning, it does not vibrate, does not jump around the bathtub, and works quietly. An excellent option for little money.
The appearance of this brand is rather clumsy (uneven gaps on the body). It was delivered twice with mechanical damage (DNS network), so we decided not to contact this manufacturer again. Or maybe the traders are not bringing this product from Turkey?
