How the Zanussi washing machine works

Instead of hours spent doing laundry, you can take a walk with your children, go to an exhibition, or think about a lot of other useful and important activities. And the washing machine takes care of things. At first glance, it seems like a complex mechanism. In fact, the operating principle of an automatic washing machine is based on elementary interactions and algorithms. Let's look at the example of Zanussi technology.

Interaction of parts inside the housing

Consumers are familiar with the basic functions of washing machines and can easily operate them: load laundry into the drum, add detergent, select the desired washing modes on the control panel, and check for child locks. The washing machine drum is enclosed in a plastic tub. This is where the water is held. While rotating, the drum does not touch the walls of the tank, which avoids friction and jamming of parts.

A special inlet valve is responsible for the supply of tap water. It lets a certain amount of water through and then closes. After washing, the liquid must be drained. To do this, the pump comes into action during rinsing and spinning. So that the “smart” equipment could independently determine how much liquid remains inside, it was equipped with a pressure switch, or water level sensor. The heating element heats the liquid, and its temperature is monitored by another device - a temperature sensor.

All processes occurring inside the washing machine are regulated by the control module. It sets the washing parameters and ensures their precise execution: it starts the heating element, controls the thermostat and water level sensor data, as well as the operation of the electric motor.

Work algorithm

Zanussi is an automatic machine that independently performs and monitors all stages of laundry care. Like any mechanism, it is not immune to breakdowns. Serious malfunctions require contacting professional technicians, and users can fix some malfunctions on their own. To do this, you need to have an idea of ​​​​the operating algorithm of all Zanussi washing machines. Before selecting and starting the desired washing mode, the drum is filled with laundry.

Important! You should check that there are no small hard objects on your items or inside your pockets, such as coins or brooches, that could get caught in the drum.

Powder, gel, and rinse aid are added to the tray intended for detergents. Each of them has its own compartment.During operation of the washing machine, they are washed out of the tray with water. The preparatory stage ends here. To start the unit, all you have to do is connect it to the power supply and check whether the tap is open.

The machine independently performs the full washing cycle, from adding water to spinning the laundry. It can operate in several modes, suggesting certain parameters and algorithms of action. The heating element warms the water to the set temperature, the drum rotates, and the laundry is rinsed in a solution with detergent.

Upon completion of the main washing stage, the waste water is drained through a special pipe and hose using a pump. And clean water is again supplied to the rinsing tank. Its level is monitored by a pressure switch. These actions are repeated several times. Afterwards the washing machine starts spinning. To do this, the drum begins to rotate at high speed, and the liquid is removed from the tank by a drain pump. After the device automatically turns off, the consumer can remove clean laundry from the drum.
