Popular among professional equipment for medium-traffic catering establishments is the dome dishwasher. This is what will be discussed in this article.

Features of this technique

Dome dishwashers differ from other types of professional equipment (tunnel and frontal machines) simplicity of design, which makes them more reliable. The peculiarity of the design is that dishes and kitchen utensils are loaded into the washing chamber from above, onto which a special sealed cap, similar to a dome, is then placed. The entire washing process is carried out under this dome.

There are separate baskets for different types of dishes (plates, pots, glasses), as well as cutlery. Hot water under pressure is sprayed onto the dishes from above and below, and detergent comes from the dispensers. After washing in the same tank, the dishes are rinsed and dried under hot air. The entire process takes no more than three minutes, so the machine can wash up to 2,000 plates in one hour.

For your information! The machine can be connected to cold or hot water supply, but when connecting to hot water, additional filters will be required to soften hard water.

Dome dishwashers can be equipped with additional tables for storing dishes.It is possible that there is a washing area with a shower for pre-washing off food residues from items.

Varieties

Among dome dishwashers, two types of machines can be distinguished:dome dishwashers

  • Bar ones, they are also called glass washers. These machines heat the water lower than normal so that the glass does not crack. They are suitable for washing not only glasses, but also tea pairs, glasses, glasses and wine glasses. The dishes come out sparkling, not a single drip remains.
  • Tableware. Designed for most dishes, plates of different sizes, cutlery.
  • Boiler rooms These machines are most often found in ethnic restaurants. As a rule, large objects such as pots, baking sheets, cauldrons, and frying pans are washed in them. The water in such a machine heats up to at least 80 degrees.

Some, depending on the temperature regime, divide dishwashers into high-temperature and low-temperature. In the former, the water is heated up to 85 degrees, and in the latter only up to 70, therefore low-temperature ones cannot be connected to hot water, but they also cost less.

Budget dishwashers

The most budget model of dome dishwasher is offered by Chuvashtorgtekhnika. This is an MPK 700K 01 Abat machine made of stainless metal. Its productivity is about 7 hundred plates per hour. Water heating from 40 to 85 degrees. Detergents are supposed to be gel-type, while the detergent is dispensed manually for washing; a special dispenser is provided for the rinse aid. The machine comes with a tray for different plates and tureens, a tray for glasses and another one for spoons, forks, and knives. Its price is $2245.

MPK 1100K is another dome-type dishwasher from a Chuvash manufacturer. It differs from the previous washing machine only in some characteristics:

  • Electricity consumption is 3 kW higher and amounts to 13.5 kW/h;
  • Productivity – 1000 plates per hour of continuous operation;
  • There is a dispenser not only for rinse aid, but also for detergent;
  • The case has a built-in window that allows you to monitor the progress of the washing process;
  • Costs $350 more.

Dishwashers of this class differ not only in price, but also in technical characteristics. Here are some samples.

DIHR HT11 is an Italian-made dome dishwasher with a production capacity of up to 2000 plates per hour. At the same time, energy consumption is 10.2 kW. The machine spends 2 minutes on one washing cycle. This machine has a rinse aid dispenser and a Thermostop function. This dishwasher can be installed in a corner. Average price: $2877.

DIHR HT11

Comenda LC 700 - this dishwasher occupies a leading position in sales. It is equipped with four washing programs, which allows you to wash even the most dried food. The height of the sink is sufficient to accommodate plates of any size. The launch can be carried out either automatically or manually.
