How to use a Hotpoint-Ariston washing machine

Cotton. Standard algorithm for daily use. The water temperature can be adjusted from 40°C to 90°C, depending on the type of products loaded into the drum. Cycle duration varies from 85 to 164 minutes, depending on the set wash temperature.
Synthetics. Another universal mode designed for processing synthetic and mixed items. Water heating degree is from 40 to 60. Program duration is 75-85 minutes.

Mix 15. A program with which you can refresh almost clean laundry in cold water. Cycle duration is 15 minutes.
Quick wash 30 (60). Modes for not very dirty laundry. The cycle runs for 30 or 60 minutes. The spin speed can be adjusted.
Antibacterial. This algorithm is available for heavily soiled cotton laundry (it lasts 165 minutes and involves heating the water to 90°C), for colored items (duration 80 minutes, 60°C). The spin is performed at maximum speed, but it can be turned off.
Night. When this mode is started, the machine operates almost silently. The cycle duration is almost 5 hours.
Kids' things. The algorithm is designed for washing items made from different materials. The water warms up to 40°C. The cycle lasts 2 hours.
Silk. Delicate mode, which heats water up to 30°C. Suitable for washing delicate, “capricious” fabrics. The program lasts 55 minutes.
Wool. Special regime for caring for wool products.Washing is carried out in cold water, spinning is performed at minimum speed. Cycle duration 55 min.

Before you start the cycle, be sure to sort your laundry. Pay attention to the label of each item - it indicates what fabric the product is made from and at what degree of processing is permissible. The tag also tells you which washing program is best to choose.

For example, a wool sweater cannot be washed on the “Cotton” cycle. Such material will not withstand high-temperature treatment and will certainly deform. The ideal program in this case is “Wool”.

Let's start washing

Before using the automatic machine, be sure to read the instructions for the equipment. It describes in detail how to properly start the wash. The algorithm of actions will be as follows:

plug the power cord into the outlet (the cord must be connected directly, the use of an extension cord is prohibited);
load a batch of laundry into the drum, close the hatch door tightly;
pour the powder or pour the washing gel into the detergent dispenser;
use the programmer to set the desired washing mode;
adjust cycle settings if necessary (water temperature, spin speed);
connect additional functions if required;
press the Start/Pause key.

It is important not to exceed the maximum permissible load of laundry set by the manufacturer.

After pressing the “Start” button, the washing machine will begin drawing water. The machine will work for a certain time specified by the program settings. The machine will notify you of the end of the cycle with a sound signal.

We clean internal parts automatically

Proper operation requires periodic maintenance of the washing machine. Wiping the body after each use and ventilating the machine is not enough. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the SMA garbage filter once every 2-3 months and treating its internal parts from scale.

Garbage accumulates inside the washing machine for various reasons. The main ones:

low quality tap water;
lint and threads separated from the laundry during the washing process;
foreign objects (papers, rubber bands, checks) forgotten in the pockets of things;
Poor quality laundry detergents.

It is recommended to run the “Self-cleaning” mode once every 3 months - this is enough to keep the washing equipment clean.

This mode extends the “life” of the automatic machine and directly affects the quality of its work. If there is no dirt inside the washing machine, then the clothes will be perfectly clean after washing. The garbage filter is washed additionally by hand.

Basic rules for operating the machine

There are several basic rules that are important to follow if you do not want to buy a new machine after 2-3 years, since the previous one will fail. Let us tell you what recommendations we are talking about.

Place the washing machine only on a flat, hard surface.
Do not exceed the maximum load weight specified by the manufacturer.
Buy only high-quality laundry detergents and follow their dosage.
Turn the program selector strictly clockwise (it also turns in the other direction, but this is not useful for equipment).
Don't forget to clean the garbage filter about once every 2-3 months.
After each use, leave the powder receptacle and hatch door ajar for ventilation.
Always sort your laundry before washing and check your pockets.
If your clothes have zippers, buttons or rivets, be sure to fasten them before loading items into the machine.
Wipe the drum cuff from moisture after each use of the SMA - this will prevent the formation of mold.
Wash your underwear in special bags.
It is advisable not to wash clothes with numerous decorative elements in a washing machine.
If the water is hard, use special rinses and softeners - this will prevent scale formation.
