First “test” of the dishwasher

You shouldn’t load your brand new “home assistant” with a mountain of dishes immediately after purchase in order to immediately try it out. To begin with, the manufacturer advises in the instructions to set up a test, during which you need to select any operating mode and start the “home assistant” without utensils. What benefits does such idle use of household appliances give?

The dishwasher is thoroughly washed to remove dirt, dust and traces of oil that may have remained after factory assembly.
You can check how well the machine generally works, and whether it is connected to the water supply and drain correctly.

If the test demonstrates that the device is in order, then you can begin the real test of the unit’s performance and fill it with a mountain of dirty dishes. But even this should be done according to the rules. Before loading, be sure to fill the salt bin with water up to the lid, and then pour about a kilogram of salt granules into it.

If the saline solution spills out of the reservoir and floods the bottom of the washing chamber, it must be immediately wiped with a dry cloth so that it does not damage the coating of the dishwasher.

After the salt, you should add detergent, which can be in the form of a gel, powder or tablet. Next comes dishwasher rinse aid. Finally, all that remains is to load the dishes into the baskets, select the washing mode and start it. However, do not rush with the dishes, because even regarding the arrangement there are special rules, without observing which you will not see clean dishes.

Filling the PMM with objects

It just seems that there are no subtleties in loading dishes - carefully fold the cutlery and that’s it. However, if you place the dishes incorrectly, then individual items may either not be washed well or not washed at all. Each element of tableware has its own place in the instructions, so you should follow the rules exactly. Otherwise, you may think that you have received defective equipment that cannot remove even light dirt.

Most Leran dishwasher models have two large baskets for dishes, as well as one small basket for cutlery. It is customary to place items such as mugs, saucers, bowls, etc. in the top. The lower basket is intended for the largest items, such as frying pans, pots and baking trays.

In some PMMs, you can independently adjust the height of the baskets or remove the vertical holders from the lower basket to optimize the space inside the washing chamber so that even the largest dishes can fit into it.

A small tray is needed for small cutlery such as forks, spoons and small spatulas.Occasionally, the dishwasher may have a removable tray installed in a vertical position. Even less common are models with metal trays in which silver utensils should be washed. A similar additional option is usually available in premium “home assistants”. But regardless of the type of equipment, the rules for arranging dishes are the same for everyone.

It is necessary to first clean off pieces of food, bones, napkins, etc., so that the dishwasher's garbage filter does not become clogged with debris.
It is advisable to rinse dirty and greasy dishes with a powerful stream of hot water before loading them into the PMM. This is very important in a situation where the machine does not have a mode for pre-rinsing dishes or soaking them.
It is always better to place the largest dishes in the lower basket first, and then move on to the upper basket and smaller dishes.
Any plates should be placed with the inside facing towards the center.
Large items, such as dishes, should be placed along the edges of the basket, and small items should be placed in the center of the basket.
You should definitely leave a small gap between the cutlery so that the dishes are washed thoroughly on all sides.
Glasses, glasses and mugs must be placed upside down, otherwise water will remain in them.
Fragile glasses made of glass or crystal should not touch any other utensils.
Place the baking sheets sideways, and pots should also be placed upside down, just like glasses.
It is better to place forks, spoons and knives with their handles down - this way the water will drain better.
Separate dirty and lightly soiled dishes into two different cycles for better cleaning.
Do not overload the dishes inside the PMM. It is better to divide the mountain of cutlery into two sinks, because this way the quality of washing will be much better.

In the end, the most important thing is to make sure that all the dishes are stable, there is free space between them, and there are not too many cutlery inside the washing chamber.

Equipment care

To increase the “life” of the dishwasher, its use must be strictly in accordance with the rules. Compliance with all recommendations from the instructions is the key to successful operation of household appliances. Please note a number of rules.

After each working cycle, rinse the garbage filter mesh installed at the bottom of the PMM washing chamber under a powerful stream.
It would also be better to wash the rubber seals that are located along the contour of the chamber. Usually food remains behind them, so you should remove any pieces of food and wipe the surfaces with a dry cloth.
The same applies to the walls of the chamber, which should also be treated with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture after washing.
Never close the PMM door immediately after a working cycle, because it must be left ajar so that the equipment dries out from the inside and does not develop an unpleasant odor.
Once a quarter, experts advise purchasing a cleaner to clean your dishwasher with powerful household chemicals. This will allow you to remove grease, dirt and scale not only from key components of the system, but also from such hard-to-reach places as hoses.
