How to use a Lex dishwasher?
Before using the Lex dishwasher, you must thoroughly study the instructions for the equipment. In the documents, the manufacturer describes all the nuances: how to connect the device, how to start the sink, what products to use. We will analyze the basic recommendations, and also explain how to properly place dishes in the chambers and what kind of care a “home assistant” requires.
First and subsequent launches of PMM
After purchasing, be sure to read the instructions for using the equipment. The first start of the dishwasher should be idle, that is, without cutlery. This is necessary to:
- wash the “insides” of the machine. During the assembly of equipment, components become dirty, and technical liquids remain on some parts. The idle cycle will help clean the device;
- check how the “home assistant” works. When starting for the first time, it is important to identify all the shortcomings, if any. The user must track the dishwasher's progress through all stages of the program.
If the equipment has passed the test, then the next launch can be performed at full load. Having laid out the dishes in the chambers, make sure that there is salt in the special tray (if not, the product must be added). Next, put a tablet in the dispenser, fill in the rinse aid, select the appropriate program and close the door. Now you can turn on the machine by pressing the “Start” button.
Place dishes in PMM baskets
The washing result directly depends on how the dishes are laid out in the chambers. It is important to load plates, mugs, glasses, spoons, saucepans and pots according to the manufacturer's recommendations. If you do not follow the rules, the cleaning efficiency will be low.
Proper placement of dishes in the chambers of the machine is the key to effective washing.
In most cases, Lex dishwashers are equipped with two baskets. The only exceptions are super-compact models with one tray. Let's figure out which dishes are recommended to be loaded where.
The upper basket is designed for mugs, plates, wine glasses and other small cutlery. It is important to ensure that the dishes do not block the sprinkler. If the tray is adjustable in height, it is better to immediately adjust its position so that the water evenly washes all kitchen utensils.
The lower basket in Lex dishwashers is designed for loading large items: pots, saucepans, frying pans, baking sheets, deep salad bowls. In some models, the tray is equipped with special holders that help evenly arrange the dishes. If there are a lot of appliances, then the appliances are simply folded, and you get a flat platform for placing kitchen utensils.
Lex dishwashers also have a small removable tray. It is designed for loading forks, spoons, knives. In Premium class appliances there is an aluminum container designed specifically for washing silverware.
There are a few more guidelines to follow. Let's look at the basic rules for operating Lex dishwashers.
- Before putting dishes in the machine, be sure to clean any remaining food from the plates. Make sure there are no tea bags or tea leaves left in the mugs. This will prevent the filter from clogging quickly.
- It is better to rinse very greasy, dirty dishes first under the tap. Due to this, it will be possible to reduce kilowatt consumption and improve the quality of washing. If the machine does not have a pre-soaking program, then it is advisable to resort to this trick every time you start the cycle.
- The lower basket is loaded first, then the upper, and then the tray for forks, spoons and knives.
- Plates, salad bowls and tureens must be placed with the inner surface towards the middle of the chamber.
- Focus on the size of the plates; large ones are placed at the edges of the basket, small ones - closer to the middle of the tray.
When placing plates in the holders, make sure that there is a gap between the saucers - this way the dishes will be washed well.
- Mugs and glasses are placed in the basket upside down - this way water will not accumulate in the cups.
- Crystal wine glasses must be placed separately so that they do not come into contact with each other or with other cutlery. Otherwise, there is a high risk of damage during the washing process.
- It is better to wash greasy dishes separately from glasses and saucers that are not very dirty.
- It is better to load the trays into the dishwasher sideways - this way they will not interfere with the circulation of water in the chamber.
- Pots, saucepans and frying pans are placed upside down on the lower level.
It is very important not to overload the machine and arrange kitchen utensils so that there are gaps between items. If you load the dishes in a pile, then the water will not have access to every mug, plate or pan. Therefore, the cutlery will remain dirty at the exit.
It is necessary to ensure that the dishes loaded into the baskets do not interfere with the movement of the rocker arms. These are special devices that rotate around their axis and spray water. If you block at least one device, you can’t count on a good washing result.
Features of dishwasher care
To keep your dishwasher running smoothly, you need to service it regularly. The instructions for using any household appliance have a section devoted to recommendations for caring for the device. If you close your eyes to the manufacturer’s advice, you can quickly disable your “home assistant.”
So, what should you do after every wash?
- Clean the filter located above the drain hole at the bottom of the chamber. Shake out any food debris that has accumulated in it and rinse the mesh under running water.
- Remove pieces of food stuck under the chamber door or in the sealing rubber.
- Wipe the walls of the washing chamber dry.
- Leave the machine door and detergent drawer slightly open for ventilation. This will prevent the appearance of unpleasant odors and mold.
In addition to daily care, once every 3-4 months it is necessary to clean the “insides” of the dishwasher using special household chemicals. Buy scale and grease removers and use them according to the instructions. Due to this, it will be possible to eliminate deposits that have accumulated in the hoses and the most inaccessible corners of the washing chamber.
If you know that the tap water in your area is quite hard, it is better to use tablets or powders for washing dishes that prevent the appearance of limescale. Today in stores it is very easy to find multifunctional 5in1 or 6in1 products that can not only clean cutlery, but also take care of the machine. By following these simple recommendations, you can extend the life of your dishwasher.
In fact, using the Lex dishwasher is quite simple. The main thing is to carefully study the instructions for the machine and figure out how to properly load dishes into the baskets. It is also important to use high-quality detergents and not forget about caring for your “home assistant.”
