First wash in a new LG washing machine

Once the purchased automatic washing machine is installed and connected to the water supply and sewerage system, the new owners want to quickly wash a batch of clothes. There is no need to rush; the first start of the LG washing machine should be done carefully, following the manufacturer’s recommendations. The further performance of the washing machine will depend on the initial switching on.

Before you start the first wash, you should inspect the machine to make sure it is completely ready for use. It is important to carefully study the user manual in order to understand the basics of operating the unit, the main cleaning modes, available options and additions.

Incorrect control of the intellect can disrupt the functioning of the main control module of the SMA.

Also, before the initial start, it is recommended:

• Check that the inlet and drain hoses are securely attached. The drain sleeve must be secured with special care. When actively draining waste liquid from the tank, it can jump out of the hole and cause flooding;
• Make sure all shipping bolts have been removed. The purpose of these elements is to ensure the safety of the machine during transportation. The transport bolts must be removed before starting the washing machine. Special plugs supplied with the equipment are inserted into the resulting holes. The number of bolts must be specified in the instructions for the device. Even one bolt remaining inside can cause the machine to quickly fail;
• open the hatch door and carefully inspect the surface of the drum.Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris there;
• see if all the adhesive tape has been removed from the washer body. Usually it is used to fix machine parts.

At the end of the inspection, it is necessary to slightly open the valve on the inlet hose. This will ensure the possibility of drawing water from communications. This is the mandatory order of preparatory actions before the initial launch of the SMA.

Activating for the first time

The manufacturer of LG washing machines encourages users to carry out the first wash “idle”, that is, without loading things into the drum. It is also recommended to constantly remain near the device under test in order to be able to respond to a problem in a timely manner. The algorithm for starting a “test” wash will be as follows:

• connect the machine to the network;
• close the hatch door tightly until it clicks into place;
• pour washing powder or liquid laundry detergent into the detergent tray;
• use the program switch knob or buttons on the control panel to activate the “Cotton 60°” mode;
• wait until the SMA finishes performing the established regime;

While the machine is operating, listen to the sounds produced by the equipment, make sure that there are no extraneous noises, hums or grinding sounds.

• At the end of washing, inspect the unit. Make sure that the drainage and water intake hoses have 100% completed their task and that no leaks have appeared. Look under the bottom of the washer to make sure there are no leaks.

During operation, the LG washing machine should not vibrate much or “jump” around the room. If the machine was shaking or shaking during the washing process, you should check whether the equipment is installed correctly and whether the floor underneath is level. If during initial startup the machine made noise, rattled and hummed, you must call a technician from the service center and stop using the AVR until the problem is resolved.

It is recommended to carry out the first wash without clothes, since the “insides” of the washing machine, in particular the cavities of the hoses, the surface of the drum, can be contaminated. liquids and oils used at the factory when assembling the unit. By washing things in a new machine, you risk putting a couple of stubborn stains on the fabric.

The purpose of the test wash is not to clean the laundry, but to check the proper functioning of the washing machine and the tightness of the hose connections.

Laundry

By turning on the machine for the first time without anything, the equipment will be thoroughly washed from the inside. The next cycle can already be started by loading a batch of laundry into the drum. Clothes should be sorted, and colored, white, and black laundry should be washed separately.

Strictly monitor the amount of things allowed to be loaded into the drum, do not overload the SMA.

Close the hatch door tightly and fill the powder receptacle with the required amount of detergent. The main wash tray is marked with the number II, this is where the powder should be loaded. If desired, conditioner-rinse aid is added to the middle section.

Now you can start the machine. Select the desired washing program, for example “Delicate”. If necessary, adjust the water heating temperature and spin speed. Click the "Start" button. At the end of the time specified by the program, remove fresh and wrung out items from the drum.
