First launch of Leran dishwasher
The very first start of the Leran dishwasher is one of the most important stages in preparing the device for a long period of operation. It directly determines how long and efficiently your new “home assistant” will serve you. Therefore, you should refrain from the desire to quickly check how well it washes dirty dishes, and run an idle cycle without dishes at all. It is this simple manipulation that will allow you to carry out all the necessary tests and configure the device correctly. Let's talk about how to achieve this.
Test activation of PMM Leran
Representatives of the Leran brand and service center specialists strongly recommend running the machine in idle mode for the first time. Despite this recommendation from professionals, many users ignore this step, believing that it is a waste of electricity, but this is not the case.
- A test wash will allow you to clean technical grease, dirt, dust and other debris that may have remained inside during assembly of the device at the factory, storage in a warehouse or installation at home.
- The process of working without utensils will allow you to examine without obstacles how well the machine is working. You can check how well it collects water, heats and drains, how the liquid circulates inside the chamber, whether it remains after the working cycle, and whether the work is interrupted in the middle of the wash.
- Finally, this is also a great chance to make sure that all connections have been made correctly, and that the dishwasher itself is level and does not crush any electrical wires or hoses.
If there are no dishes inside the washing chamber, this does not mean that there is no need to add detergents, so do not touch the power button for the equipment until it is loaded with household chemicals. The easiest way to find a detergent reservoir is located on the door of the washing chamber.
Choose the type of chemistry that suits you, which is divided into powder, gel and 3 in 1 tablets. In the first two cases, it will be necessary to pour or pour the product into the appropriate dispenser, and then add rinse aid to give the dishes a bright shine; if you choose tablets, then you will not need to add rinse aid at all. After loading the chemicals, do not forget to mark the selected type of detergent on the machine dashboard.
It is believed that the PMM tablets contain enough regenerating salt to combat the hardness of tap water, but just in case, it is still better to use the salt separately.
The salt compartment is a little more difficult to find - to do this, you need to remove the lower dish basket and find the salt bin installed at the bottom of the washing chamber. Unscrew the lid and, if you are going to fill it for the first time, first fill it with water up to the neck, and only then add about a kilogram of salt. Be sure to make sure that the salt or saline solution does not remain at the bottom of the chamber so that it does not damage the bottom - to do this, they can be removed with a cloth or by starting any working cycle, so it is better to load the salt immediately before washing.
Don't forget to set the salt consumption, which directly depends on the quality of your tap water. The harder the water, the higher the consumption of salt, which helps the ion exchanger soften the liquid. You can determine the hardness with your own hands using special test strips, or by looking at the official website of the local water utility, where they must publish current information about water quality. Only after this will it be possible to open the water supply tap, select the operating mode and activate the device.
Regular activation of PMM Leran
Do not rush to immediately add dirty dishes to the “household assistant” as soon as the test wash is over. First you need to wait until it cools down, since too active use of the PMM can damage the heating element and pump.
When the dishwasher has cooled down after a few hours, you can fill the baskets with dirty dishes, be sure to remove any leftover food, napkins, fruit pits, tea bags, coffee grounds and other debris, and also check that there is enough household chemicals in the dispenser. Carefully place all cutlery in its place so that the dishes do not interfere with the free movement of the sprinkler and water has access to all the dishes. Now you can activate the first full wash.
It is quite possible that starting the machine for the first time will not be as easy and quick as you imagined. However, there is nothing to worry about, because over time you will get used to the rules for arranging dishes, loading detergents and other nuances, so the speed of preparing the machine will return to normal.
Useful tips for PMM owners
In order for the equipment to “live” as long as possible, you must carefully care for it, following standard operating rules and safety recommendations, which are described in any Leran user manual. Here is a list of useful tips for all PMM users.
- Never touch the operating device with wet hands.
- It is advisable not to use adapters or extension cords when connecting equipment directly to the mains.
- Do not allow small children to press buttons or interfere with the operation of the dishwasher.
- Do not allow foreign objects to enter the washing chamber.
- Don’t be lazy to wash your garbage filters from time to time.
- After each operating cycle, remove any food or grease that may remain under the rubber door seals.
- Leave the PMM door open for several hours after finishing work to prevent mold and unpleasant odors from forming in the device.
As you can see, the list of recommendations is extremely simple, so it will not be difficult for you to provide your expensive device with decent care, for which the machine will “repay” you by saving you time and crystal clean dishes.
