Resetting a Bosch dishwasher
Sometimes users need to reset their Bosch dishwasher. Such a measure may be necessary if the PMM freezes during program execution. Also, restarting often helps clear a random system error. We'll tell you how to perform the procedure.
Easy restart
It happens that users notice that the machine is frozen and cannot complete the cycle. Sometimes the Bosch dishwasher starts flashing all the indicators without responding to button presses. In some cases, an error appears on the display. Then you will need to reboot the PMM.
How to restart a Bosch dishwasher is described in the instructions for the equipment.
To reset your Bosch dishwasher, you need to:
- close the machine door;
- disconnect the PMM from the network by unplugging the power cord from the outlet;
- leave the dishwasher unplugged for a minute;
- plug the PMM power cord back into the socket;
- press the “On” button on the control panel;
- simultaneously hold down the buttons of the first and third programs for 3-5 seconds;
- open the machine door;
- press the “Reset” key and hold it for 3 seconds;
- close the dishwasher door;
- wait for the signal notifying the end of the cycle;
- open the door and turn off the PMM.
This method can be used to restart all Bosch models. The only condition is that the control panel must respond to pressing. If the “tidy” turned off due to a freeze, then the reboot method will be different.
Restart without buttons
Sometimes the machine freezes during operation and does not respond to human commands at all. The control panel becomes insensitive to pressure. In this case, the sequence of actions will be different. First, turn off the dishwasher Bosch by unplugging the power cord from the outlet. Before doing this, make sure the wire is dry.
After turning off, move the machine away from the wall, or slightly pull it out of the kitchen unit. Inspect the rear housing and hoses. Everything should be dry. Make sure there is no standing water behind the dishwasher.
If the power cord of the machine is wet, do not even try to unplug it from the outlet. This may result in electric shock. Turn off the power supply to the apartment using the fuses on the panel.
Restarting will help reset the dishwasher error.
After de-energizing the PMM, wait 20-30 minutes. Abruptly unplugging the machine will delete the settings stored in the dishwasher's intelligence. After the restart, the user will be able to set new cycle parameters. If the problem is not a serious failure, then after the reboot is complete, the PMM device will begin to respond to key presses.
After this, you can perform the algorithm of actions described in the first paragraph. Press certain keys one by one while opening and closing the PMM door. The machine will restart and be ready for use again.
If a Bosch dishwasher displays error E15, this indicates that water has entered the sensor installed at the bottom of the housing. When the problem is not a leak, a quick reboot will help solve the problem. In addition to disconnecting the equipment from the network, you will have to tilt the PMM towards the wall for another minute or two. After this, the device is plugged back into the outlet.
Using these methods you can restore your Bosch dishwasher to working order. It is important to follow all precautions, then problems will not arise. If a full reboot does not help, then there is a serious malfunction and an in-depth diagnosis of the PMM will be required.
