Resetting an Electrolux dishwasher
The reason why the Electrolux dishwasher freezes is not always due to problems that have arisen. Quite often, the dishwasher stops due to minor system failures, which can be eliminated by rebooting. How to reset an Electrolux dishwasher and what to do if it doesn't work?
How to activate "Reset"?
A normal reload is carried out using the “Intensive Wash” and “Auto” buttons located next to each other on the dishwasher control panel. To reboot the device, you must press these buttons simultaneously.
Note! The “Intensive Wash” program is indicated by the icon of a pan standing on the plates.
Next, press the named keys and hold for 5 seconds (a little more is possible). Once pressed, the Electrolux dishwasher will emit 1 long and 2 short beeps. If they sound, it means the reset has been completed.
If you have an extremely old model dishwasher, then it does not have these buttons. However, such devices have a power button and a program selection knob. To reboot, set the program switch knob to the neutral position, and then press the “Power” button. Then you need to turn on the dishwasher again. If it works, then the reboot was successful.
Restart did not work
Have you reset the dishwasher, but there is no result? Most likely, this is a malfunction. Malfunctions of this equipment can cause serious problems, but most of them can be prevented. This requires not only constant prevention, but also strict adherence to installation and operation rules.
If the owner of the dishwasher complies with all the conditions during its operation, but the unit continues to generate an error, then most likely you are faced with one of the problems typical for such equipment.
Here is a list of standard problems that may arise when using Electrolux dishwashers.
- The unit does not start. First of all, you need to make sure that the power is connected and water is supplied. It is possible that there was a short circuit and the circuit breaker broke the circuit. It is worth trying to unplug the cord from the outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
- A wet spot has formed under the machine. The reason may lie in damage to the drain or discharge hose, malfunction of the lower sprayer, or water level exceeding the permissible level. Leakage may also occur if the device is not installed level.
- Dirt and grease remain on the dishes. This happens when the holes in the sprinklers become clogged. They need to be cleaned.
- The water does not heat up. There may be a malfunction of the heating element or failure of the control board.
- The machine is too noisy during operation. Most likely, it was simply installed incorrectly or the pump has expired.
- The dishes remain wet. This situation occurs if the dishes are folded incorrectly or very tightly.
Some of these problems can be dealt with on your own. But if the reboot does not produce results, the machine is positioned correctly, water and electricity are connected, but the unit still does not work, then it is better to contact a specialist. Self-repair without the appropriate knowledge and experience can only aggravate the situation.
