Candy dryer error codes
Modern dryers have self-diagnosis “skills” and independently notify their users of possible operational errors. If the device suddenly stops functioning, it is necessary to determine the cause of this failure. To do this, you should pay attention to the screen of the Candy dryer - it will receive a special code that needs to be deciphered. We will help you understand what malfunction this or that combination indicates and tell you what to do about it all.
Let's interpret the dryer codes
When the device gives you an error code, it means that there is a breakdown in the system. In order to understand what problem you are dealing with, you will need to resort to the equipment instructions and use it to decipher this symbol. This will allow you to quickly understand what to pay attention to when diagnosing.
Sometimes an error in a Candy dryer is caused by a short-term electronic failure. Therefore, when you see a code on the display indicating a malfunction, do not rush to call a technician or disassemble the dryer yourself. In order to “reset” an electronics failure, you need to do the following:
- turn off the power to the “home assistant” and leave it turned off for 10-15 minutes;
- turn on the machine and restart the program.
If the error still persists, then you are dealing with a serious problem!
Let's look at what kind of breakdown a certain code indicates and tell you what needs to be done to fix it. Codes usually start with different letters. Errors starting with the letters E (e) or Err include:
- E01 (E1 / ERR 1 / ERROR 1).This code indicates that the dryer door is not locking. In most cases, the problem lies in the hatch locking device. A replacement is needed here.
- E02 (E2 / ERR 2 / ERROR 2). This sign informs you that the special tank is full of water. A similar problem can arise when the dryer is not connected to the sewer.
- E03 (E3 / ERR 3 / ERROR 3). This code most often occurs when there is a blockage in the drainage system and water does not flow into the drain or special tank.
- E04 (E4 / ERR 4 / ERROR 4). A similar error occurs when the water collection tank is damaged. Along with this code, a leak may appear.
- E05 (E5 / ERR 5 / ERROR 5). When this code appears, it makes it clear that it is time to test the heating element or triac that gives the command to turn it on. The problem often occurs due to the fact that the heating element has failed. However, the problem may also lie in the electronic motor.
- E06 (E6 / ERR 6 / ERROR 6). The code appears when the circuit between the control module and the display board is broken. Because of this, the machine does not start working. To remove the error, you need to restore the power circuits.
- E07 (E7 / ERR 7 / ERROR 7). If you find this on the display, check the tachogenerator. The wash program stops when the motor starts to rotate quickly. This happens due to damage to the detector.
- E08 (E8 / ERR 8 / ERROR). This code occurs because the engine system is faulty. The reasons may lie either in worn-out engine brushes or in the tachogenerator. Such problems can be fixed with your own hands.
- E09 (E9 / ERR 9 / ERROR 9). If this code appears on the display, it means that the engine has stopped rotating.The problem is the control unit, which does not issue the required command. Because of this, the engine simply cannot rotate, in which case repairs are necessary.
- E10 (ERR 10 / ERROR 10). A sign that the electric motor does not rotate. The most common reason for this phenomenon is a break in the power circuit in the program selector. But it would be a good idea to check the connecting cables on the engine.
- E11 (ERR 11 / ERROR 11). Occurs when the machine stops drying things. This happens because the built-in drying system is faulty. The reasons may vary. Both a failed drying heating element and a faulty temperature sensor, as well as a clogged humidity sensor.
- E12 (ERR 12 / ERROR 12 / EC) or E13 (ERR 13 / ERROR 13 / ED). Indicates an incorrect configuration of the drying mode and occurs due to a faulty thermostat on the drying heating element. The reason may also be hidden in the control module. Try restarting the mode.
- E14 (ERR 14 / ERROR 14). A sign that the dryer is unable to dry items. The most likely reason is that the laundry is bunched up. Empty the contents of the drum, straighten the laundry and put it back to dry again.
In addition to the above errors, there are others. They start with the letter F (f). Such ciphers are as follows:
- Indicates a critical error in the control module processor. You need to turn off the machine for 30 minutes. If after turning on the problem does not disappear, feel free to call a specialist.
- Represents a heating system error. Occurs due to the fact that the contacts on the temperature sensor have oxidized. It is recommended to clean the heating element or replace the temperature sensor.
- If you see this code, it means that the dryer is not rotating the drum correctly. The reason is a faulty tachometer.Because of it, the control module sends an incorrect signal to the engine.
- The code indicates that the control resistor on the control board is faulty. The error occurs unpredictably: both before drying and after it is interrupted. In this situation, repair of the control board is necessary.
Why does the Kandy dryer not turn on?
Each manufacturer's equipment has its own faults. When we talk about dryers Candy, their breakdowns include: problems with the temperature sensor, motor, heating element and capacitor. Drive belt stretching, bearing wear and terminal oxidation also occur. If yesterday the dryer was working properly, but today it refuses to turn on, you need to check:
- temperature sensor (the contacts may have come loose, or the part itself may have broken down);
- motor (voltage surges easily cause engine breakdown);
- fuse or power button.
In case of damage, these parts must be replaced!
There are other reasons. These include oxidation of the terminals. This happens because the humidity is high and drops of water settle on the terminals. You will solve the problem if you clean and wipe the contacts with alcohol.
It would also be a good idea to check the capacitor. When it becomes full of various lint and dust from things, it disrupts heat exchange and makes it difficult to remove moisture from the working chamber. This problem can be easily solved; just clean the container.
If the Candy dryer does not turn on, the reason lies in the hatch not being fully closed. As a rule, a mechanical locking should occur at the sash. If there is still no click, you need to press the door better.
Sometimes the dryer does not start the cycle because the “Delayed Start” option is activated.Make sure this function is not enabled. If yes, just disable this mode.
Among other things, the dryer will not turn on due to a basic lack of electricity. Make sure there is light in your apartment. If present, check the outlet. To do this, you just need to connect another household appliance to it.
