LE error in Daewoo washing machine

The Internet is full of information about deciphering error codes for washing machines such as Bosch or Zanussi, but units from less famous companies are covered much less frequently online. This fate befell, for example, Daewoo washing machines, which are not so common, but, nevertheless, sometimes also issue fault codes and need to be repaired. The LE error is considered especially serious, so it is better for any Daewoo user to learn about this code in advance.

As for the LE error, the reasons are directly related to the problems with the hatch door. Check that you seal it tightly. To do this, apply good pressure and press the door, you can even apply your knee, but without fanaticism. If after this action the code disappears from the display and the washing process starts, then the locking mechanism is malfunctioning. Replace or clean it from dirt. If pressing down on the door does not produce results, the problem is most likely in the locking device. The door closes, but in fact, for the “brains” of the machine, it remains open, which prevents the wash from starting.

As a result, the error is LE. As for DIY repairs, with UBL it is a waste of time. It's easier to buy a new part and install it.

Dismantling the UBL

Anyone can dismantle the UBL, even without any special skills. The main thing is to act carefully so as not to accidentally break anything, and carefully follow the instructions:

• Shut off the water supply to the washing machine, and also disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Open the hatch door all the way.
• Now it's the cuff's turn. So that it does not interfere with getting to the UBL, it needs to be bent.

The clamp is in the way. Unclench the special latches (plastic clamps are equipped with them), or pry them with a sharp object and remove them (in the case of a metal product). Now remove the cuff.
