Error i10 in Electrolux dishwasher

error i10 ElectroluxAt the very beginning of the program, in about the first 10 minutes, a failure may occur, and the i10 error in the Electrolux dishwasher may appear on the display. In addition to the specified code, the light next to End will blink, but this may not happen. What does an error with this code indicate, how can you figure out what’s wrong with the dishwasher, and how can you fix this problem at minimal cost? There are a lot of questions, let's try to answer them.

Let's get to the bottom of the reasons

Before you can fix the problem yourself, you need to find it, and to find it, you need to decipher the error code that inappropriately appeared on the display, paralyzing the work of the “home assistant.” Code i10 indicates that for some reason water does not flow into the dishwasher, or more precisely, the pressure switch does not record its rise to the required level within the specified period of time. Why does this happen?

  1. The garbage filter is very clogged.
  2. The inlet hose filter is clogged with dirt.
  3. There is no water in the water supply or the tap is simply turned off.

    There is no more trivial reason for the i10 error than a closed tap, however, service center technicians often go to addresses and note that the user did not think to open the tee tap before starting the machine.

  4. The inlet hose is pinched.
  5. The filling valve does not open well.

Problems with the pump also cannot be completely ruled out, but in this case 99% will appear error i20 in Electrolux dishwasher, and if the display is i10, you need to check the above list first. Well, you need to start with the simplest thing, which does not require disassembling the machine, but this causes blockages.

Fixing the problem

First, you will have to check with your own hands the dirtiest place in the Electrolux dishwasher - the garbage filter. To do this, we need to open the dishwasher door, remove the lower basket, then remove the lower spray arm and unscrew the garbage filter. In addition to the filter itself, you need to get the grille, which is located nearby. We wash all these parts with hot water.

cleaning the garbage filter

Often, after washing greasy dishes, a layer of fat settles like a film on the garbage filter and grate. Water may simply not penetrate through this fat, with all the ensuing consequences. Dishes should be thoroughly cleaned before placing them in baskets for washing. The next step is to check the inlet hose. If it is not pinched and water flows in, you need to:

  • turn off the water;
  • unscrew the inlet hose;
  • find a flow filter at the base of the hose;
  • pull out its mesh and clean it;
  • If there is another flow filter on the tee tap, it should also be cleaned.

fill valve

The last thing to check is the fill valve. In order to pull it out, you will have to remove the side wall of the dishwasher by unscrewing several screws around the perimeter. You can, of course, remove this part by removing the pallet, but then you will have to disassemble more and take longer.

Having unscrewed the side wall, carefully approach the valve, unscrew it, and then remove it, not forgetting to disconnect the supply wires. We check whether the valve is clogged with debris; if so, the debris must be cleaned out so that it opens and closes freely. Take a multimeter and check the resistance of the filling valve. If the valve turns out to be faulty, replace it with a new one and check the operation of the dishwasher.

So, what to do if the Electrolux dishwasher suddenly stopped and gave an i10 error? First of all, you need to understand how the error is deciphered, and then systematically, using the above list, check all possible faults. Particular attention should be paid to blockages, because in the vast majority of cases they are the cause of the appearance of the i10 code. Be careful and you will probably be able to fix your “home assistant” even without the intervention of a specialist. Good luck!

    Garbage filter, how is it related to filling?

  2. Gravatar Sergey Sergey:

    I agree with the previous comment. i10 water supply error.

  3. Gravatar Alexey Alexei:

    In 90% of cases, i10 is a microfilter clogged with rust at the inlet. The solution is to pull it out with pliers and clean it with a toothbrush (tapping the bristles on the holes to knock out particles of rust/sand).

    I had something else. Fill valve. When 1 error flashed, I took it apart and blew into the hose that fits the fill valve. It works after 2 weeks, then the same thing again. I'll figure it out now...

    What to do if everything that was previously written has already been done? The machine takes in water, releases it and gives error 10 again.
