Error F03 in Dexp washing machine

Error F03 in Dexp washing machineThe more modern the household appliances, the more elements in it can fail, which the “home assistant” will inform the user about with a special code. Error F03 in a Dexp washing machine appears in a situation where the device is unable to heat the water in the tank. Most often this happens due to damage to the water heating element - the heating element, but sometimes the reason is hidden in other parts of the SM. We will analyze in detail all the reasons for this error and how to fix them at home.

Why doesn't the machine heat the water?

Fault code F03 is very unpleasant, because the machine can wash, but cannot heat the water even to 30 degrees Celsius, let alone 90. However, you should not immediately dismantle the heating element and go buy a new heating element, because several components are always involved in heating the liquid in the tank, which could also fail.

Moreover, first of all, we recommend starting not with a partial disassembly of the Dexp washing machine, but with a service test, which will show that the performance of the machine has actually decreased due to damage, and not due to a one-time system failure. What should I do to run this test?

  • Turn on your device.
  • Press the “Options” and “Temperature” keys at the same time.test mode SM DEXP
  • Without releasing the button, press the Power key, which will start the test cycle.
  • Wait until the service test begins, and only then release the keys.
  • Turn the programmer to check different components of the “home assistant” one by one.
  • After completing the test, simply press the power key to turn off the machine.

It is advisable to check absolutely all components of household appliances during a service test in order to accurately find the element in need of repair. After diagnosis, you can begin to restore the SM.

It’s easier to start with a pressure switch

First you should check the water level sensor, because this is the easiest and fastest way to do it. The pressure switch is located directly under the top panel of the washing machine, not far from the rear wall on the right. The element itself looks like a plastic round box and a long thin hose going to the washing machine tank. To check an element yourself you need:find the pressure switch under the top cover

  • find a tube commensurate with the diameter of the water level sensor fitting;
  • loosen the clamp on the thin hose and secure it;
  • lean the tube against the fitting and blow lightly into it;
  • If after this you hear 1 to 3 clicks, then the element is ok.

To complete the test, it is better to check the pressure switch using an ordinary multimeter set to resistance measurement mode.

If the pressure switch does not respond to all tests, and the readings on the multimeter do not change, then the only option is to replace the element. You should not try to repair the water level sensor, because it is much easier and safer to just buy a new one in the store. Loosen the clamp of the faulty pressure switch, remove the chip, remove the old part to immediately install a new one in its place.

Be sure to check the heater

The water heating element is the next point of the mandatory program that should be followed when fault code F03 occurs. The unit is installed at the bottom of the Dexp washing machine, hidden by the rear panel of the housing. To get to it, you will need to turn the machine around, remove the clips from the back panel, and then remove the panel itself.

Be sure to disconnect household appliances from all communications before starting work.

When you have free access to the internal components of the SM, all that remains is to find a heating element with a thermistor and start checking. What to do with the heating element?

  • Take a photo of the wiring connected to the part so that you have an example of the correct connection at hand during reassembly.
  • Disconnect all wires from the water heating element.remove the wiring from the heating element and temperature sensor
  • Using the same multimeter in resistance measurement mode, check the contacts of the heating element, having previously set the value “200” on the tester.carefully check the heating element with a multimeter
  • If the part is working properly, then the values should be within 26-28 Ohms, if the display shows “1”, then there is an internal break in the element, and if “0”, then this means that a short circuit occurred earlier.

Do not try to restore the heating element with your own hands if the multimeter shows a break or short circuit - you can throw away the part and buy a new one instead.

  • Now the multimeter needs to be switched to “Buzzer” mode and the contacts checked. If the tester produces a loud signal, the heater needs to be replaced.

Of course, to replace a damaged element, it must be dismantled. It’s easy to do this yourself without calling a service center specialist, but if the machine is old, then the gasket in it could increase in size and block the device. In this case, the rubber gasket needs to be treated WD-40, wait about 15 minutes and only then begin the main work: remove the thermistor, retainer, and then the water heating element itself.

Always buy only original parts for your Dexp washing machine to extend its service life and not damage your “home assistant”.The easiest way is to look for a new heating element using the SM serial number, which is indicated on the body of the washer, or you can take the faulty part with you to the store as an example. Before installing a new heater, be sure to clean the seat.
