Error E35 in a Bosch washing machine
During washing, automatic washing machines block the load hatch to prevent water leakage. At the end of the wash, the machine emits a special signal indicating the end of the process. What to do if at this moment error E35 occurs on a Bosch machine, and it is impossible to open the door? What is the cause of the malfunction and what does this error code mean?
Does it make sense to wait for unlocking?
Bosch washing machines are tripled in such a way that not only the mechanism itself, but also the electronic unit is responsible for blocking. Simply put, the control module must give a command to unlock, otherwise the hatch will not open. There is no point in waiting, because the problem will not go away on its own.
Unplugging the washing machine from the network will not help either. In other machines, the door can open after the plate has cooled, but not in Bosch. We will have to use other, more effective methods.
Need to take out the laundry
The appearance of error code E35 will not allow you to further control the washing process. Most often it is not completed and there is water left in the drum that needs to be drained. Only after this will you be able to get the laundry out of the washing machine. The first step is to get rid of dirty water from the washing machine using a garbage filter:
- open the hatch of the washing machine, it is located below;
- unscrew the filter plug;
- Collect all the water that comes out of the washer.
Important! Place dry rags in the drainage area and place containers on them to collect liquid.
There is a special lever next to the garbage filter to open the door. You just need to pull it, then the hatch will open. If such a part is not provided in your washing machine, you will have to act differently.
Unplug the washing machine and remove the top cover. To do this, you must first unscrew the bolts. Then reach for the hatch locking device and press the special locking element, moving it out of place. After these manipulations, the washing machine should open.
Let's take on UBL
What to do next? It is necessary to check the condition of the hatch locking device, identify the cause of the malfunction and, if necessary, replace the part. Most often, it is this element that fails and causes error E35. You need to proceed as follows:
- unplug the washing machine;
- open the hatch using the methods described above;
- bend the cuff, then loosen the latch and remove the outer clamp;
- behind the rubber band there is a hatch locking device, unscrew the bolts holding it;
- get the part.
Next, you need to check the locking device for possible malfunctions. You will need a multimeter and a lock circuit, with which you can diagnose the condition of the thermocouple. The electrical measuring device is switched to resistance measurement mode.
Then its probes are applied to the neutral contact and phase of the device being tested. If a three-digit number appears on the screen, the blocker is working properly. Next, you need to attach the probes to the common and neutral contacts. If 0 or 1 is displayed, there is a malfunction and repair is required.
Attention! If it breaks, you will have to replace the washing machine door lock.
To install a new part, you need to connect wires to it. Then take it behind the wall of the case and insert it into a special hole. Tighten the bolts, straighten the cuff and put the clamp in place.
If the diagnostics of the blocker fails to identify a malfunction, the cause of error code E35 may be a failure of the electronic part of the machine. However, you should not repair it yourself; it is better to entrust this work to technical specialists. The fact is that only a professional with special knowledge and skills can repair electronic components.
