Atlant washing machine power
The information sticker of any washing machine always indicates the power of the machine. This is a very important indicator; the efficiency of the device depends on it. If you buy too “gluttonous” equipment, then your monthly electricity bills will reflect a “tidy” amount.
In order not to make a mistake, you must immediately evaluate the power consumption of the Atlant washing machine along with its cost, permissible load and functional “stuffing”. This is the only way to choose the ideal machine that meets all the requirements. Let’s look at the nuances and tell you about the most economical washing machines of the Belarusian brand.
Power calculation
The calculation of the power consumption of the washing machine is carried out by the manufacturer. Each machine must be tested at the factory before being released for sale. How is it calculated how many kW the machine “eats”?
During the experiment, cotton items are thrown into the washing machine, loading the drum to the permissible maximum. After this, the standard “Cotton” mode starts, with a water heating temperature of up to 60°C and a maximum spin speed. Next, the washing machine is connected to special equipment, which “detects” how many kilowatts the machine “eats” per cycle.
The resulting value is divided by the weight of laundry washed and the duration of the program. During the experiment, it is calculated how many kW/h a machine consumes when washing 1 kilogram of cotton items.
The actual power consumption will differ from the standard, since washing conditions are constantly changing.
The power recorded during the experiment is not a constant value.It will be like this if the initially specified conditions are met: washing cotton at maximum load on the drum and heating the water to 60°C. In everyday life, this situation is rare - usually housewives wash mixed fabrics in cool or hotter water, without loading the machine completely, choosing the “Quick Wash” program, etc.
The following factors influence the final electricity consumption:
- type of machine (for example, semi-automatic washing machines are more economical than automatic machines);
- type of fabric (mixed fabrics, silk and synthetics have a different structure from cotton - this affects the kilowatts consumed);
- the selected washing mode (short and low-temperature programs do not require long operation of the heating element or motor, so the washing machine will consume less electricity);
- weight of laundry loaded into the drum. The more things a machine washes at a time, the more intensively its components work, the more kilowatts are consumed.
The power consumption indicator, despite the variability, is considered very important and demonstrative. Based on the value, you can compare different models and choose the most economical washing machine. After all, if the machine “eats” less kilowatts when washing cotton, it means that in other modes it will not require so much electricity.
Information is encrypted in notations
Information about how many kilowatts the washing machine consumes is always indicated on the factory sticker. The energy efficiency class of the machine is indicated on the label, denoted by letters from A before D. On modern devices there are the symbols “A+”, “A++” and “A+++”, which indicates even greater efficiency of the equipment.
Let's figure out what power consumption is indicated by generally accepted energy efficiency classes:
- “A+++” is the highest class, indicating the maximum efficiency of the equipment. In this case, the machine spends up to 0.13 kW/h to wash 1 kg of cotton fabric.
- “A++” – equipment consumes up to 0.15 kW/h per kilogram of cotton fabric;
- “A+” – the machine “eats” up to 0.17 kW;
- “A” – such machines consume no more than 0.19 kilowatts per hour;
- “B” - every hour such machines “wind” up to 0.23 kW;
- “C” – in this case, the permissible energy consumption is 0.27 kilowatts per hour;
- “D” is the lowest energy efficiency class; such machines produce approximately 0.31 kW/h.
Based on the energy efficiency class, you can estimate how much electricity the washing machine will consume during operation.
For example, the Atlant washing machine you like is assigned an energy efficiency class of “A+++”. This means that per hour it “eats” about 0.13 kilowatts. To calculate the total consumption, you need to multiply this figure by the maximum allowable load volume. If the machine is designed for 6 kg of laundry, then the power of the “home assistant” will be 0.78 kW/h.
Remember that machines often operate in conditions that are far from experimental. For example, with a half load of the machine or a “cold wash”, energy consumption will be lower. If you start a mode that involves heating water to 90°C, the number of kilowatts “eaten” will increase.
The most economical models
It is almost impossible to find an Atlant washing machine in a store, which is assigned an energy efficiency class from B to D. Today, such “gluttonous” equipment is not produced - it will not withstand the competition. Even budget machines are characterized by energy consumption levels of “A” and above.
Atlant washing machines are inexpensive equipment; their cost varies from 14 to 33 thousand rubles.The manufacturer offers several models that differ from each other in functional “filling”, capacity and price. We'll tell you which washing machines from the Belarusian brand are the most economical in terms of electricity consumption.
Automatic machine Atlant 70С109. Freestanding front-loading washing machine. The drum is made of stainless steel and can hold up to 7 kg of dry laundry at a time. The cost of the model is $170-180.
Main characteristics of Atlant 70С109:
- power consumption – 0.9 kW*h/kg;
- energy efficiency class – A+++;
- noise level – up to 56 dB;
- spin speed – up to 1000 rpm.
This model has the function of delayed start, foam level control, dashboard locking, etc. The machine has several washing programs in its memory, including anti-allergenic treatment, delicate cycle, “Stain removal” option, quick mode and others.
Washing machine Atlant SMA 75С1213-01 costs about 23,000 rubles. This model has been assigned the highest energy efficiency class “A+++” - the machine consumes about 185 kilowatts per year.
The machine is designed for 7.5 kg of laundry. The intelligence memory contains 16 special washing programs, and there are also 14 additional functions. The model is protected from leaks by the Aqua-Protect system. The machine is equipped with a commutator motor.
Automatic machine Atlant 60U109. This is a narrow washing machine for 6 kg of laundry, installed permanently. Equipped with a convenient digital display. Power consumption – 0.128 kW*h/kg. This model is assigned energy efficiency class “A++”.
The machine is capable of spinning things at speeds of up to 1000 rpm. The machine is protected from leaks and power surges in the network.The intellect contains many washing modes, starting with standard programs (“Cotton”, “Delicate”, “Jeans”), ending with the stain removal function and “Anti-allergy”.
Another economical, narrow model is Atlant 60U1010. The machine has 16 different washing modes in its memory. The maximum permissible spin speed is 1000 rpm. The assigned energy efficiency class is “A++”.
