Turning on the Hansa washing machine
Modern household appliances are quite easy to operate - the dashboards are intuitive, and the instructions are written in accessible language. If any frontal or vertical automatic machine was previously installed in the house, then turning on the Hansa washing machine will not be difficult. Both turning on and starting the wash proceed according to the standard scheme. But it’s better to re-acquaint yourself with the Hansa you just purchased, remember the operating rules and take into account the brand’s features. We will tell you exactly what the user needs to know point by point.
First launch of the Hans technique
New technology requires a special approach. It is strongly not recommended to use a newly purchased washing machine immediately; moreover, it is advisable not to connect it to communications. The machine must sit for some time at room temperature. Only after 2-3 hours can you remove the transport bolts, remove the factory stickers and begin installing the Hansa.
It is prohibited to start the washing machine with the transport bolts not removed - this will cause severe internal mechanical damage!
A “clean” washing machine can be transported to the installation site and connected to communications. We are talking about the power cord, drain and inlet hoses. Afterwards, you are allowed to run the wash “idle”: without items, but with detergent. In this way, the Hansa is cleared of factory grease and tested for functionality.
After a successful technical start, you can start a standard wash. This is easy to do - just follow the following instructions:
- open the drum;
- load things, sorting them in advance by type and color of fabric;
- make sure that the drum is filled according to the minimum and maximum capacity (the ideal option is a half-empty tank);
- close the door tightly until it clicks;
- add detergent to the powder receptacle (it is important to observe the dosage of the powder and follow the markings of the tray compartments);
- connect Hansa to power supply;
- start the machine by pressing the power button;
- turn the program selector to the desired position;
- adjust washing parameters if necessary;
- press “Start/Pause” to start the cycle.
When the wash starts, the machine responds with a click, after which the hatch door locks and water begins to fill. If the tank does not fill, the instrument panel flashes randomly, and an error code appears on the display, it means that the start of the program was delayed due to a problem. You will have to decipher the combination and fix the problem. Only then repeat turning on the machine.
Setting up equipment
If the first start of the machine is carried out in any mode due to an empty drum, then the second and subsequent times you need to select a program, focusing on the laundry. The type and color of the fabric, as well as the degree of soiling of the clothing, matters. Depending on the material and contamination of things, one or another position is chosen.
It’s easy to find out the list of programs available on Hansa - just look at the instructions. It describes in detail all the modes, their purpose, duration, heating temperature and spin quality. Additional buttons and positions of the dashboard are deciphered separately.
Knowing the programs and functions can greatly simplify the cleaning process. So, express washing will refresh lightly soiled items. Clothes made from synthetic or mixed fabrics are cleaned only in the same mode, which will avoid their deformation and loss of color. It is recommended to wash children's underwear and accessories only on the cycle designated “vest”. Thanks to the high temperature, the diapers are disinfected, abundant rinsing completely washes out the powder, and intensive spinning speeds up subsequent drying.
An incorrectly selected mode, on the contrary, will ruin the item. Wool washed on Cotton will certainly shrink and become rough, while synthetics will remain untouched after a delicate wash - low temperature and smooth rotation of the drum will not remove stains. It is better not to experiment, but to use the programs strictly for their intended purpose.
Pour in the powder
The quality of washing is also affected by the detergent. There are three important things to consider when adding it to your washing machine. First, choose natural concentrates designed for machine washing. Secondly, follow the dosage. Thirdly, take into account the markings on the powder receptacle compartments. Almost all dispensers on Hansa washing machines have three compartments:
- on the left – for the main wash;
- on the right - for pre-wash;
- in the center - for additional liquid products (rinse aid, bleach, softener).
An important point is the dosage. If you add too much powder, the clothes will not have time to rinse and will become covered with a white coating; if you add too little, the stain will remain on the fabric. It is better not to add the product “by eye”, but to rely on the manufacturer’s recommendations. The packaging of each concentrate indicates the optimal amount depending on the weight of the laundry being washed. The included measuring spoon or cap will help you measure the portion.
Treat your machine with care
Turning on the machine and starting the wash are just the first steps in “mastering” the new Hansa. The user must not only know how to activate the cycle, but also be able to properly care for the equipment. In order for the machine to operate for a long time and without accidents, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating rules prescribed by the manufacturer. All washing machine owners are recommended to:
- observe the prescribed load weight (underweight and overweight are detrimental to equipment, causing imbalance, shaft play and internal damage to the drum);
- keep the washing machine clean (after each wash, the body is wiped with a clean cloth, the dispenser is washed with water, and the hatch is left open for natural drying);
- do not place shampoos or foreign objects on the lid of the machine (this disrupts the balancing);
- do not adjust the washing parameters after starting the program (the board may freeze due to excess information);
- use high-quality detergents marked “automatic”;
- add softeners and descalers;
- regularly carry out comprehensive cleaning of Hansa;
- improve the inlet filtration system.
After purchasing a new Hansa, it is important to read the instructions carefully. Only the importance of all the rules, nuances and requirements will help improve the quality of washing and extend the service life of the machine.
