The intensive program is distinguished by the fact that it consists of several alternating stages. Replacing cold water with hot water and soaking with accelerated spinning allows you to remove even the most difficult stains from fabric. However, it is worth understanding that this approach to washing lengthens the cycle, so it lasts 1.5-2 times longer than the usual cycle. It also consumes more resources, electricity and powder.

“Intensive” is turned on by pressing the “Intensive wash” button or moving the selector to the pattern of the soiled T-shirt.

Intensive washing is selected only for items that are not afraid of high temperatures. These include bed linen, pajamas and other products made from cotton, linen and synthetics. Delicate fabrics, silk or wool, will not withstand such a “shake”.

What's going on inside the machine?

It is logical that the washing machine will have to work hard to remove serious stains. One cycle will take from 2 to 4 hours, and the laundry loaded into the drum will be subjected to severe processing, which only durable materials can withstand. To improve the final result, it is recommended to fill the machine to a maximum of 2/3 full. An overly loaded washing machine bleaches worse, as the wash quality decreases by 25%.

In short, intensive washing goes through the following stages.

• Soak. During the first 15-25 minutes, the drum is filled, the clothes are completely wet, and the water allows the detergent to dissolve and penetrate the fiber structure.
• Moving on to washing. For the next 20-30 minutes, the drum rotates slowly, enhancing the effect of the detergent.
• Prewash. Then the quick wash cycle is turned on for 30-40 minutes, but at high water temperature.
• Rinsing. Occurs as usual.
• Spin. Things are wrung out at the maximum permissible speed.

It is worth understanding that during intensive washing, not only the laundry being washed, but also the machine itself experiences a colossal load. The machine washes and spins at maximum speed, which affects the bearing unit and the engine. The heating element, which maintains a high temperature for several hours, also overheats. The hoses involved in draining water from the tank also suffer from boiling water. Intensive washing helps remove any stains. But it lasts a long time and forces the machine to work at full capacity.
