The instructions for the Indesit WIUN 82 washing machine look quite lengthy, so it’s no wonder that most people either don’t read it at all or read it selectively. Meanwhile, this document contains quite a large amount of valuable information that the user should understand before using the washing machine. That is why we decided to present to your attention a shortened version of the instructions, which contains only the most basic information.

Where to put it, how to connect?

Having carefully unpacked the brand new Indesit WIUN 82 and put the box aside, inspect the case. Be scrupulous, examine every centimeter of the front panel, cover and side walls for damage and, if any, contact the seller. If everything is in order, then you can move the machine to the installation site. The place where the WIUN 82 washing machine will be installed must meet the following requirements.

1. No carpeting directly under the machine body. Firstly, this will impede heat transfer, and secondly, it is impractical, because liquid may leak onto the carpet or carpet, which will ruin it.
2. In the immediate vicinity of the installation site of the machine (within 1-1.5 meters), there must be all communications necessary to connect it: a socket, a water pipe outlet, a sewer pipe outlet or a siphon.

You can do without a siphon and sewer pipe, but then the drain will have to be organized directly into the bathtub, sink or toilet.

3. The body of the Indesit washing machine must fit into the intended installation location.Moreover, the gap between the side walls and surrounding objects, as well as the lid and surrounding objects, must be at least 1 cm. There must be a gap of 10 cm between the back wall and the object, and there should be nothing in front of the front panel, as this will interfere with the opening of the hatch.
4. The floor under the body must be very strong and preferably perfectly level. In any case, the machine will have to be leveled using a building level. If the installation location is perfectly suited for the Indesit washing machine, you can drag it there using someone's help, and then, having unscrewed the transport bolts and plugged the holes for them, level the case and begin connecting. Let's start with something simple: screw the drain hose to the siphon or insert its end into the sewer pipe. Next, screw the inlet hose to the outlet of the water pipe through the tee tap, not forgetting to insert the O-rings.

Lastly, connect the power cord to a moisture-resistant outlet. Pay special attention to the outlet, since the washing machine is a large consumer that puts a serious load on the electrical network. This means that the electrical network must be reliably protected and withstand the load. If voltage surges occur frequently, connect the washing machine through a special stabilizer.

Powder tray arrangement

You should not start washing without understanding how the powder receptacle works. Dispenser, powder receiver, powder tray, all these are names for the same part of the Indesit washing machine. The dispenser has 4 compartments:

• No. 1 – for pre-wash;
• No. 2 – for the main wash;
• No. 3 – for air conditioner;
• No. 4 - inserted into No. 1, for bleach.

By the way! Count the compartments from left to right when facing the front panel of the washing machine.

The pre-wash compartment should be used in those rare cases when you turn on a program that involves pre-wash. In all other cases, there is no need to pour or pour detergent into this compartment. The main wash compartment opposite should always be used, as well as the conditioner compartment. But the 4th compartment should be installed only when you start the whitening mode (also rare cases).

Let's start washing

Well, we understand the structure of the powder receiver, now let’s study the control panel. There are very few buttons and selectors on the panel of the Indesit washing machine that you will use constantly, it’s worth listing them.

1. Various indicators and function selection buttons. They are labeled on the panel so you can always see what is selected.
2. A button that turns on the washing machine.
3. Button to start or reset the program.
4. Selector for selecting washing modes.
5. Water temperature selector.

So, in order for us to start the very first wash, we need to use these control panel elements. By the way, the first wash is carried out “idle”, that is, without laundry to flush the system. Then you can wash it as usual.

Turn on the washing machine. Open the powder tray and put a little product there. Select a long washing program, then a temperature of 90 degrees. Close the tray, then press the “start” button to start the program. As soon as the program ends, the machine is ready.

Under normal conditions, preparation for washing is carried out in a similar way.In this case, the laundry is sorted before being placed in the drum and the type of fabric is taken into account when choosing a program.

Necessary care

If the Indesit WIUN 82 washing machine breaks down, the instructions will help prevent this from happening, because it contains information on how to operate the “home assistant” correctly. About a third of breakdowns occur precisely because washing machine owners neglect simple rules for caring for them. What is it about?

• If you are not using the washing machine, it is better to unplug the power cord from the outlet and turn off the water.
• After each wash, take a dry cloth and wipe the hatch cuff, the inner walls of the drum and the powder tray. This way you will prevent mold from forming.
• After each wash, leave the machine open; there is no need to clog it, because this is the cause of the musty smell.
• For cleaning, do not use aggressive cleaning agents, they can damage the rubber bands and the machine will begin to leak.
• After 3-4 washes, take out the powder receptacle and rinse it under running warm water to remove any remaining powder.
• Clean the debris filter once every six months and check the inlet valve flow filter approximately once a year. It can also become clogged with debris.
• Also check the inlet hose at least once a year for any damage. A hose with microcracks, and especially with ruptures, cannot be used.
