What is i-time in Haier washing machine?
Modern Haier washing machines are simply stunning with their design and software. Some models, in addition to the standard ones, also have a number of truly unique additional functions that can make life much easier for their owners. Not everyone knows the purpose of some buttons. For example, do you know what the i-time function is? What is it and what are its advantages?
How does i-time work?
People often confuse two functions: delayed start and i-time. The presence of a delay start function will not surprise anyone; it is available in almost every modern model of washing machines from any manufacturer. Most housewives don’t even use it, considering it unnecessary and useless. At the same time, the i-time function in the Haier washing machine is the ability to adjust the washing time, regardless of the selected mode. That is, it allows you to independently reduce or increase the duration of the program, reducing the washing or rinsing time.
The i-time algorithm cannot be applied only to the “Spin/Drain” and “Self-Cleaning” modes; changes can be made to any other program.
Why is i-time useful?
Let's see what benefits this feature provides. Let's take the following situation for example. The owner plans to rinse several shirts and T-shirts in the Haier machine. To do this, she chooses a half-hour program. But if things are practically clean and the goal is just to refresh them, then washing them for half an hour is simply not practical.
If the washing machine has an i-time function, it can double-click on the corresponding button on the touch panel, thereby reducing the operation time to 20 minutes. Each press reduces the operating time of the machine by 5 minutes. In our situation, the time for both washing and rinsing was reduced by 5 minutes. Since the clothes were not too dirty, this will not affect the quality of the wash. If there are stains or serious dirt on things, then you should think carefully before using this program.
A completely logical question may arise here: why reduce the time of a long program if you can simply choose a shorter option? After all, the result will be the same. Not always. In short-term programs, the duration of each stage is strictly limited, so the effectiveness of some of them does not always correspond to the required level. And a number of programs (for example, additional rinsing) are not available at all. It is likely that by reducing the duration of the “Auto” program to 15 minutes, you will get a much better result than when washing in the “Quick 15 minutes” mode.
In addition, the i-time algorithm can even be used to adjust long modes. What does this give to the owner? By reducing the duration of the process, you can wash more times in one day than with standard program settings.
Does the machine remember i-time settings?
According to owner reviews, Haier washing machines do not remember the entered i-time settings. You will have to set up this program again even if one wash follows another and the machine does not turn off.
But in the event of an unexpected loss of power to the washing machine, the settings are not lost. For example, if the electricity is turned off during washing using the i-time algorithm, then when the light appears again, Haier will continue to operate in the selected mode and maintaining the current settings.
