Eco Bubble in the washing machine - what is it?
The market is flooded with automatic washing machines. They have become available to almost every family, and the choice of models is simply enormous. In this regard, manufacturers are trying to attract buyers by introducing various innovations into their equipment. Among such technical innovations, the Eco Bubble function stands out, which was announced by Samsung representatives quite a long time ago. What is it and “what is it eaten with?”, let’s figure it out.
What is this function?
First, let's figure out what Eco Bubble is in a Samsung washing machine and how this function works. Eco Bubble is a bubble wash, in other words, washing machines equipped with this function are capable of enriching the mixture of water and powder with air. The air-rich mixture penetrates better between the fibers of the fabric, removing even stubborn stains.
The device that foams the mixture of water and powder is located between the dispenser pipe and the washing machine tank. From a technical point of view, the Eco Bubble device is useful in that it saves the time required to dissolve and foam dry powder or washing gel.
For your information! The Eco Bubble device is a special flow-through blower that quickly prepares an air-rich mixture of detergent and water.
In other words, in this case, a ready-made, foamed mixture of water and detergent is supplied to the tank of the machine. Water with semi-dissolved powder is supplied to the tank of a conventional automatic washing machine and more time is needed until the powder dissolves and begins to act.The question arises, why not turn on the washing mode in a regular machine longer so that the powder dissolves and washes everything properly, or use an instant detergent? But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Advantages and disadvantages of technology
The manufacturer of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology excitedly talks about the advantages of its equipment. Like, it is one step ahead compared to all other washing machines. To prove its statement, the manufacturer cites a number of advantages of washing machines with Eco Bubble, let’s identify them.
- An oxygenated mixture of water and powder penetrates the fabric of dirty laundry much better, which means it washes it much better.
- In an oxygen-saturated mixture, the fabric washes faster, which means that too long washing programs are not needed. Even on a short program, everything washes out wonderfully.
- Thanks to Eco Bubble, laundry does not hang around in the drum for hours, which means the fabric wears out less, and as a result, things last longer.
- Eco Bubble technology allows you to save water and electricity. Firstly, to create an oxygen-enriched mixture you need 30% less water than a conventional washing machine with the same size tank and drum. And secondly, you don’t need to heat the water too much; with Eco Bubble, clothes are washed at 300 just like in a regular washing machine at 600.
- A washing machine with Eco Bubble completely dissolves even low-quality powder, which means it does not remain in your clothes or in the machine. This is very valuable if you need to wash the clothes of an allergy sufferer or a small child.
Having talked about the advantages of a washing machine with a similar function, we cannot help but say a few words about the disadvantages. So far, we have not found any serious disadvantages other than the price, the price of washing machines with Eco Bubble is higher, and technical complexity. According to the experts, the unit that creates the oxygen-enriched mixture is far from the most reliable element and may well fail.
Note! We will return to the shortcomings later, since we have not yet looked at people’s reviews of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology. Perhaps some other disadvantages can be discovered.
Review of washing machines
To have a more detailed understanding of equipment equipped with the Eco Bubble function, let's do a short review and look at specific models of washing machines from Samsung, which have been on sale for quite some time.
Samsung WWW10H9600EW/LP. Capacious automatic washing machine with a load of up to 10 kg, electronic touch display and Eco Bubble function. In addition to the volumetric drum, touch screen and Eco Bubble function, the model has many advantages: inverter motor, adjustable spin speed from 300 to 1600 rpm, delayed start of the washing program, automatic weighing of laundry, half load, easy ironing, accelerated wash and many others. The price is about $1000 and this is its most significant drawback.
Samsung WW60J6210DS. Another washing machine from a well-known manufacturer equipped with Eco Bubble. The characteristics of this model are more modest than those of the Samsung WWW10H9600EW/LP, but the price is also more affordable, about $400. The drum can only be loaded up to 6 kg, which actually includes a little more than five. Spin speed up to 1200 rpm. In addition to the Eco Bubble function, this washing machine has: delayed start, half-load drum, accelerated wash, wash without spin.
Important! Most Samsung washing machine models have overstated drum volume and capacity; they probably have their own kilograms in Korea!
Samsung WW90J6410CW. This model is also not cheap, although it is assembled in China, its average cost is about $500. The washing machine has a spacious drum of up to 9 kg, can actually hold 7.5, Eco Bubble function, spin speed up to 1400 rpm, delayed start, half load and more. Programmed for 14 washing modes: cotton, synthetics, delicate wash, wool, dark fabrics, children's clothing and others. There is also protection in the form of foam control, self-diagnosis of faults and child intervention.
Samsung WD80J7250GW/LP. This model, equipped with the Eco Bubble function, will cost you about $700. This washing machine is also assembled in China, it has a drum with a load of up to 8 kg, a spin speed of up to 1200 rpm, an easy ironing function, and most importantly, it has excellent drying. The disadvantage of the model can be considered the absence leak protection, which is unacceptable for such an expensive model.
Reviews from people
We have become acquainted with models of washing machines equipped with the Eco Bubble function, and now we will find out people’s independent opinions about them. Some have already used Eco Bubble machines for 3-4 years, so they have something to tell us.

I can’t say anything about the advantages of the Eco Bubble function, because I have only negative emotions from this washing machine. I’ll just list all the shortcomings I discovered, and you can think for yourself.
- There is a monstrous smell of rubber, and washed clothes also stink afterwards. Over time, the smell does not dissipate.
- He tries to wash in a very small amount of water, the clothes absorb everything and it turns out that the machine is just chattering wet clothes without water. As a result, the quality of washing is, to put it mildly, not up to par.
- It makes a lot of noise, and the noise is loud during washing, and even during the spin cycle it’s generally “hello to the neighbors.” I had 3 different washing machines before Samsung (Siemens, Bosch and Electrolux), no one made such noise.
- It vibrates a lot, on old washing machines I had bottles and boxes of detergents, but on this one it’s impossible to put anything on it - everything will shake off!

I bought this machine 2 years ago, and my disappointment knew no bounds. It feels like the machine isn't washing at all. You put your things in, and after 40 minutes you take out the same dirty laundry, only wet. This is how you save water, of course, you don’t have to waste water if you don’t wash. What infuriated me the most was the outerwear regime, what kind of regime is it if you can’t wash either down jackets or things made of synthetic padding on it, in short, it’s nonsense. Don't buy this machine, it's complete nonsense.

They brought me this wonderful washing machine 3 days ago, so I’m sitting and thinking about how to take it back to the store. I gave away a lot of money for nothing. This vaunted Eco Bubble doesn’t wash clothes at all, my old Siemens, which I worked for 12 years, washed better, without any “Bubble”. In addition, she jumps a lot, makes noise and smells terribly. In short, I’ll take it to the store, and in return I’ll take Siemens or LG.
In this article we have given only a few examples of people's reviews of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology. In total, we reviewed about 400 reviews about such machines from different portals - 80% were negative.
To summarize, we note that the Eco Bubble bubble washing function is a well-promoted, advertised technology, but in reality people testify that there is nothing good about it. Washing machines equipped with Eco Bubble often wash worse than usual and are more expensive. In general, decide for yourself whether to buy or not to buy such a machine, we have presented independent information, but we will not engage in anti-advertising.
The machine does not wash well and is very noisy and shakes a lot. Nonsense technology.
We bought this washing machine yesterday, it also shook like crazy during the first wash, so I called service. There they advised me to read the instructions more carefully =)
People, you just had to unscrew the 4 transport bolts in the back and adjust the legs!! After that they started it up again, it stays still and doesn’t jump! Works great! And by the way, if it doesn’t wash, maybe you have a bad powder?) It washed off all the stains perfectly, both adults and children!!! Things are snow-white! The washing machine is great! Just a fairy tale!
Couldn't you just unscrew the bolts right away?
I agree, it’s a good machine, I’m happy. It washes at 5. It also spins super well. Quiet, a little noisy when spinning.
I've had my machine for less than a month and it washes everything perfectly. It works quietly.A small child is sleeping in the house and you can’t even hear what’s working.
We bought the washing machine half a year ago. It washes just like everyone else. No better, no worse. There is a door for throwing. Actually, that’s why they took it. What kind of Eco Bubble is there, I didn’t even pay attention when I bought it. I just started reading what this function is. Of the minuses, I would like to note that there really is an unpleasant smell of rubber, and small things (usually socks) roll into the gap (it is huge) between the door and the drum (the rubber is there). And I take them out all the time and wash them by hand.
The machine is good, washes well, spins well and runs quietly. It’s true that sometimes it smells like rubber, but it doesn’t affect things in any way.
What kind of people! Pure idiocy... Samsung has excellent washing machines, modern, technologically advanced. If it jumps, you need to read the instructions carefully. Unscrew the transport bolts, calibrate the drum to take into account the weight of the laundry by the machine. And if it doesn’t wash, technology has nothing to do with it. Do you want to use powder for $1 to wash everything? But that doesn't happen. Just buy good powders, that's all. Good luck to all!
A month ago I bought a Samsung washing machine with ecobubble. It washes well and doesn't smell like rubber. True, it was collected not in China or Russia, but in Poland.
It washes normally, everything is quiet and there is no smell of rubber. It doesn’t shake even an ounce, and the spin at 1200 rpm is not even audible. He only turns on the music after washing, you can hear it :)
The washing machine is very good.It is not true that it is noisy and does not wash well.
I just bought it, so I won’t say anything about “magic bubbles” - something bubbles inside, and foam appears earlier than on the old machine. It washes normally - 15 minutes, and three shirts with a pack of socks are washed. Yes, very small items (small socks, scarves) can be placed on glass, but bags for small change are recommended everywhere. There was a smell during the first launches.
About jumping and grimacing - guys, you need to place the machine on a flat floor, preferably leveled. And follow the banal rules: do not overload, do not underload, and do not wait for the perfect distribution of one, single item on the drum.
I myself am a salesman in a hardware store. Every day I deal not only with washing machines, but also with televisions and refrigerators. I, as a seller, have a greater preference among washes. I'm giving away washing machines to SAMSUNG with ECO Bubble. These machines are really better than LG with 6MDD. You shouldn’t buy a washing machine with a direct inverter, because after the first three years it seems to work quietly, and then the nightmare begins. There will be strong vibration, knocking, noise and finally a break in the drum shaft or coupling.
I'd rather buy SAMSUNG than LG. Moreover, they only have a ceramic heater, which means there is no need to buy additional water softener. You only need to turn on drum cleaning once every three months (if such a mode exists). Or throw in a simple unnecessary towel yourself and wash it with washing machine cleaner at high temperature.
You are a young man, very incompetent, because a ceramic heating element is just another marketing “duck”. These heating elements “fly” just like regular ones. And you just get credit for another advertisement.
There is no ceramics, ordinary thermal paint also builds up and burns, just marketing.
We have been using Samsung with IVF for 9 kg for 4 months now, after 2 Boshev for 6 kg. The drum is the same size as Bosch's. You can't cram anymore anyway. But I liked that after pressing the Stop button, the door lock is immediately released, which is very convenient when adding forgotten items. Bosch, on the other hand, unlocked it within 3 minutes, it seems. It washes no worse or better. There is no rubber smell (made in Türkiye). The truth is that it works noticeably louder than Bosch. We don’t know yet about the quality of Samsung, but the 1st Bosch worked for 12 years without a single repair (Germany). I washed it down to small rugs until it became obsolete. 2nd Bosch 3rd year works without problems.
Overall, it’s a gorgeous machine :) It washes well and spins even better. We are happy with the purchase!
We bought a Samsung Eco bubble machine. We washed it probably 10 times. We didn’t find any flaws. Doesn't jump, doesn't even move. It washes well. Works great. Works quietly. No odors were detected. The laundry is always clean and smells nice after powder and conditioner
We have been using this machine for 3 years now. When purchasing, the deciding factor was the ceramic heater. I didn't focus on the bubbles. It washes great! It's not too noisy! My favorite attraction is doing laundry at night. And everyone sleeps well. The doors to all rooms are always open - cats and dogs do not tolerate closed doors. The main thing is to set the machine level and not overload! She also tells me when the drum needs to be cleaned. The only negative for me is a quick wash for 15 minutes at 20 degrees. I psychologically cannot accept this fact.
15 minutes - this is in cold water and if you do not select any options. Select 40 degrees, additional rinse and it will be 40 minutes.
Very disappointed. Faith in Samsung has been shaken. The design is cool, it doesn’t jump, doesn’t bounce, isn’t noisy, but it washes like shit. He just swirls wet clothes with foam and that’s it. After washing, stains remain and the clothes smell strongly of detergent. We wash not with powder, but with expensive gel; with the previous Samsung without EcoBubble there were no such problems. Add water. Sometimes you have to wash it again. We decided to buy another one. The purpose of the machine is to save water and that’s it! The entire wash takes a bucket of water. And for me it is important that it is washed off not only from dirt, but also from detergent. So that you can sleep on bedding without chemical odors.
The machine is initially configured to save water. If you don't need this, choose the intensive soak and extra rinse options. If it’s not enough, there is a rinse + spin mode. There's half a drum of water there.
The washing machine is wonderful. It washes well. Doesn't smell like rubber and doesn't skip.
You don't smell like rubber because you use chemical powders! They bring us an odorless, hypoallergenic one from Finland! And the machine is just terrible! Things stink of rubber after it! Take care of your health and get rid of the toxic machine as quickly as possible! That's what we did.
I read good and bad reviews about the Eco babble machine, I bought it half a year ago, I don’t see any downsides. It removes any stains perfectly, on children's clothes, as well as on adults, and rinses well. And he squeezes too. If yours rattles and jumps, read the installation instructions carefully. You need to unscrew the anchor bolts, calibrate the drum, and everything will be fine.
Great Samsung machine. We haven't used it for long, only done 10-15 washes. The machine washes perfectly, the clothes wash perfectly, they wring out well - we get them almost dry. No streaks, no traces of powder. Smells okay. It stands rooted to the spot, almost silent, we look into the bathroom to see if it is washing or not. When we bought more expensive powder, everything was great. We chose between Samsung and Bosch, so far we have no regrets.
We have Samsung WF0707WJW. It has washed flawlessly for several years. It's funny to read indignant reviews about the smell of rubber, vibration, poor washing. WW60J5213JW is a wonderful machine. Obviously, this article was written by competitors.
It has been washing normally for over 4 years.
It washes better, the previous one was Indizit.
I don't see any bubbles! Washing clothes is so-so. In general, over time, all machines begin to wash poorly.White laundry comes out grey. The machine itself is noisy. Especially the pump.
Add more powder, I recommend Persil. And here's a bunch of foam for you))
I have had a Samsung ECO bubble wf1602 for 5 years now, and I can’t say anything bad. It washes perfectly, does not make noise, does not jump. The ECO function works as it should.
The machine washes perfectly. Very quiet at work. Afterwards, Atlas washed white things - earth and sky. Samsung machine works great
How much powder do you pour into the dispenser for 6 kg of laundry? I use Persil, on the packaging they say if the contamination is strong, pour in 500 grams or more. I washed the Zanussi with the same powder, spilled the glass, and even if I didn’t choose the powder well, there were stains on the black.
I bought it a month ago and it really doesn’t wash well, it doesn’t smell like rubber, but the clothes were dirty. Now I loaded it, added powder with each addition of water, let's see what happens...
The more expensive the powder, the better the washing result. I wash white clothes only with Ariel or Persil.
I have a Samsung 6.5 kg with Ecobubble. Purchased in 2019 or even 2018, I don’t remember exactly. I’m reading the article because I wanted to find out if this eco-bubble needs to be cleaned somehow. They write so much crap. I realized that she was perfect for me! It actually washes perfectly on a daily basis in an hour, but there isn’t enough water - complete nonsense! Quiet is a fact. If someone is shaking (a man, a woman telling you), level the machine and tighten the legs normally. I erase Persil, Losk, Ariel.
