Diagnostics of the Indesit washing machine

If the cycle has stopped for no reason, and the automatic diagnostics of the Indesit washing machine has not started, you need to help the equipment. It is necessary to activate the so-called test mode and clarify the nature and scale of the problem that has arisen. This can be done at home and without calling a specialist: the main thing is to adhere to a certain algorithm.

Why is this necessary?

Most often, the user does not need to intervene, since if there is a malfunction, the machine automatically starts self-diagnosis and displays an error code on the display. But sometimes the system freezes and does not activate the washing machine module check program. Then you should configure the search manually.

Modern Indesit washing machines are equipped with a self-diagnosis system, which, if problems are suspected, automatically starts checking the key components of the machine.

It is easy to understand that the machine itself cannot cope with diagnostics. In this case, the washing machine “freezes” during the washing, rinsing or spinning process and does not respond at all to the user’s commands. To get answers, you will have to run the “Service Test” function and force the machine to start checking.

How does it all work?

Despite the forced nature of the operation, it will not harm the machine system at all. Firstly, the program is developed and configured by the manufacturer using special technologies. Secondly, such an “inspection” is much safer and more informative than depressurizing the machine and then disassembling and inspecting it. Thirdly, the service test works faster and will more accurately narrow down the range of possible faults. It’s easy to turn on the diagnostic program yourself.

1. Set the gear selector to the first position and press the “Start” button.

No more than 3 seconds should pass between changing positions.

2. We switch to the second position, and then disconnect the machine from the power supply.
3. We return the programmer to the first program and start the washer.
4. Move the selector to the third mode and turn off the power again.
5. Turn the knob to one and press “Start”.
6. Select “Drain” and run the test program.

The machine will check the machine components for some time, after which it will display a fault code on the screen. You will need to decipher the combination using the factory instructions or the Internet and clarify the location of the failure that occurred. If the equipment does not have a display, the system will inform you about the error by flashing the LEDs on the dashboard.

The faulty part is searched for as follows. When you turn on the test program, a quick wash is launched on an empty tank, during which the system checks each piece of equipment for performance. First, the filling valve is examined, then the integrity of the tank and the accuracy of the pressure switch’s response to filling the drum. Afterwards, the ability of the heating element to heat water to a given temperature and the engine rotation speed are assessed. The washing machine will definitely test the drainage, as well as the spin cycle at maximum speed. As soon as problems are detected, the control board will record the error and report it to the user.
